Default Z to Z in 2003

If you're a 350Z owner in the Raleigh-Durham area or anywhere in NC, VA, SC or TN for that matter, post your info here so we can get started on planning a 2003 schedule, including but not limited to:

BBQs (maybe co-sponsored by local performance shops and dealerships)
Restaurant Bookings
Track Events, Autocross
Extreme Sports for the young (parachuting, skiing, mountain biking, go-karting)
Extreme sports for old folk (golf, chess and fishing)

I'd also like to hear from S2000 owners who think that hanging out with Z owners will be a "totally cool thing to do". Yeah Baby!

Well, maybe if Flyingscot had named the thread "NC Zs in 2003" we would be getting more of the desired attention.

Well, this thread has had 50+ views so far (which is encouraging) and it is a very small regional forum at present so I'm not sure that a title change would make that much of a difference.

I know of two others in the local area that I will have to chase up. I already have their email address.

I've seen a few other Z owners in Cary, but, I suspect they are not the types that would hang out here (don't ask me why). There are other ways of reaching out to them later.

I'm sure anyone who is interested, or becomes interested, in connecting up with other Z owners, will eventually find their way to the appropriate regional forum. It's very early days though, so patience Grasshopper.

Default Tech session 12/28

Eric & I are planning on having a tech session at his home garage in Morrisville Saturday, 12/28. The plan is to manufacture & install grounding kits for our cars:

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=11450

and, if it has arrived, maybe install his Injen Cold Air Intake and clear corner reflectors.

If you are interested, you are invited. If you want to have a grounding kit for your car, there are certain economies of scale with this kind of thing, we can get a kind of assembly line going. Eric has crimper & shrinkwrap gun. You can either provide your own materials, or maybe order a kit from InsaneAmine, or if you want to order materials with us, please contact Eric at eric@extremespeedonline.com

If you plan to attend, please let us know, and let us know what skills/materials/tools you can bring.

Hey guys. I have to work Saturday and Party & Shop Sunday so have fun building the kits. While you are at it, build a complete Turbo kit 400HP for $2,000 or less. Oh, and it must be reliable. Let's say good for 300,000miles.

Hey, Flyingscot... put me on your mailing list!

Here's my email... mcduck@earthlink.net

We've got a pretty good group going down here in Charlotte. We've already had one Z run the Saturday after the ice storm. We're looking to do a lunch meet in January and definitely a Blue Ridge Parkway run in the spring.

Probably, we could both get better turn outs by mixing the two groups. Drop me an email...

Ok, we'll get right on that. Please freeze yourself for 30 years, we'll deliver when you awake.

Sorry you can't make it. Maybe you can drop by for a few minutes, since we'll be working so near to where you're working. We still haven't met yet; are you sure you're not a fictional character?

Hello Andy and Z Mack, I've been watching your activities down there in Charlotte. I'm sure we can get a group from RDU and Charlotte together real soon. Spring for the Blue Ridge was on my mind too. I'll be in touch after the holidays.

How could we possibly forget the beautiful town of Wilmington? In fact, Bill Koff from Wilmington is a regular to VIR in his Mini Cooper S.

VIR Full course should be a great track to stretch the Z's legs a little. And yes, I'll be there. I plan on taking my Z up on Saturday for a few hot laps as a fitting end to the break-in period.
