We decided at the cruise-in that we should probably leave the south parking area of the Avenues Mall about 8:00 tomorrow morning. That should allow us to take 9A to Heckscher to Amelia and get to the Concours before the Corvette Grand Sports are driven in at 9:30.

Remember we have to park at the Fernandina Airport and take the shuttle back to the Concours, so we should allow a little extra time.

Hope we have a good crowd tomorrow, in spite of the early departure!

 

Anybody going in this storm?

 

Went up about 12:30. Stopped raining by the time I got to the Dames Point Bridge. Nice drive up as there was no traffic on A1A to Amelia, probably as a result of the storm. Show had been moved indoors, (Corvettes in the hotel, others in a tent outside and the parking garage). Saw all the cars on display (about 110 or so), though there probably were only half of what were to be out. Best part was when the class winners were fired up and driven out in front of the hotel for their pictures. Hope the weather is better next year.
