Clear Bra Installation
Hey I just picked up my 06 last week.
so I'm a new proud member
I'm trying to put clear bra. Can I do this myself or does the job require professional? If so, do you know anyone who can do this?
Thanks and nice to meet you guys!!!

First, Congrats on the car. What color?
Second, you can do the install yourself. It's only moderately difficult, at best. If you've tinted your own windows before, it's basically the same thing.
I've just finished doing mine, about 3 weeks ago. Took me about 3 hours, but I've done this before. When I did my first install on my Sentra, it took all day, (7 hours), so be prepared to spend a lot of time with your car.
The most important suggestion I can give you is: TAKE YOUR TIME! If you rush, you'll mess it up. Believe me, I know. Good luck.

Thanks guys
I think I'm gonna try myself before I get chips.
Actually my windshield got hit by a flying rock
So, before anything flies into painted parts, I'm gonna put clearbra in the front bumper.
BTW, it's silver or silver alloy(whatever it's called) and I love it

Cool. IMO, the best site for do-it-yourself paint protection film is clearmask.com. They include an install DVD you can watch, and comes with all of the install hardware you need. Good luck... Enjoy the ride.

I've read at many 3M Clear Bra dealer sites that this install is way harder than installing a nice flat piece of window tint. You'll be working with a far larger piece and have to make it conform to curves and complex shapes, The bumper kit costs about $190 and I'd hate to spend that kind of money and then get into a jam doing the install myself.

I had the 3m bra put on a week after I got the car and it helps. I am a DIY person but considering the size of the material and time/patience involved I had the 3m dealer put it on and got a warrenty on the install plus a $50 gas card. I think I paid $200 for the install but that was for the whole front bumper and headlights.
