June 14th is the next test and tune day @ Sebring with my club CHIN Motorsports. I will be driving that day. I would like to see some of you guys out there. Everyone has been to the drag track and the drifting events, but no one ever seems to want to go to the road races. I have been to the drifting myself as a spectator, and I have drag raced most of my life. Let me tell you. The road course is where it's at if your either spectating or driving.
The paddock is open to all and you can walk around and look at the cars and talk to the owners and race teams. Everything from stock cars to all out race cars and teams will be present. Lots of exotics to drool over.
For $20 you can get a passenger arm band and ask for rides in tha cars. Most drivers are happy to take you out and scare the living shyt out of you as long as you don't puke. You can ride all day long for your $20. This track is the most famous road course in the US and it's right in your backyard. There is a tremendous amount of heritage and history there.
I am still driving in the novice class and hopefully I will get signed off for solo. In my group there are no speed limits. Just passing rules. You must wait til the driver points you by. This is all out performance driving. See me pass everything in the straights and then get killed in the turns by Miatas! I need more skills!
Group 2 advanced solos is "anything goes" with some amazing cars and is amazing to watch.
You can attend the drivng classes offered for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon and learn some basic driving skills for high performance driving.
The track is about 1 - 1.5 hours from most of us. We start driving at 8AM and go to 5PM. Food is available there from the concession, the airport resturaunt, or the hotel resturaunt.
See what these performance parts are really designed for. It's not to look pretty! Maybe this will peak your interest and next track day I will see you out on the course. There is a Formula 1 go-cart track there as well for you to use. Not sure of the details. Mark that Saturday on your calender as your day at the track. I would like to see you guys there.

Th other day I saw a yellow Gallardo, a red F430, a white Porsche Carrera GT, a yellow Detomaso Pantera, and a red Daiblo. The 3rd richest zip code by income per capita in the country is Orchid Island which is in the incorperated city of Vero Beach. I see alot of these guys at the track at Sebring. We have alot of nice cars here in the area. I'm still not getting up in the morning to sit in the summer heat at Starbucks. That's why evening are better. Things have cooled off by then a little. I don't even drink coffee.
