So what radar detectors do you guys recommend ???

 

The Valentine V1 is supposed to be the best out there right now. I have a pretty old Escort that serves me well. Any radar detector is going to help and make sure you can detect laser also.

Regardless, you need to focus on fighting the ticket. That's what you REALLY need to do. How fast were you going or more importantly, what speed was written onthe ticket?

ALWAYS fight your tickets. Worst case scenario, a lawyer will help reduce the fine or get the point removed off your record at the cost of a few bones and maybe traffic school.

 

i've got the Escort 8500 X50. it has saved me on more than one occassion. but most high end RDs do. my advice would be dont spend less than $150 new. otherwise you might be buying crap

 

I have the Escort 8500 X50 also and it works great. Saved me a few times already.

No... It was on 74 east towards Indian Trail. The road was clear with little traffic everyone was behind us. I was making a turn at a stop "stopped at the light" then about 15-20 seconds later the State Cop is flying up behind me. I was like WTF the guys came outta ???

What... thats Crazy ?!? thats why he made it for 81 then. I didn't think I was driving that fast. I thought It was like 75 at most.

If you can swing it, go with the V1. I've had mine for several weeks now and it's great. Helped me out once already. They seem to pick up radar from a good amount of distance away.

 

that sux John... pigs are all over the place here in Charlotte since they don't have nothing to do.. Get V1 now!!!

 

Unfortunately I got busted even with my V1 on. Apparently he had instant-on radar or somethign because I saw him and a second later my radar was pegged and he had me. (not laser)

 

Get to know charlotte a little more, if the cops are anything like they are in concord, you'll soon find out that they all always sit in the same places.
