This is in the events forum, but thought I should post here too...
With all the hot weather in North Carolina lately, it’s hard to believe, but the Triangle Z Club’s annual fall Z Car show is just around the corner !
The show will be held at Michael Jordan Nissan in Durham, NC on Saturday, November 3rd, with a rain date of the following Saturday, November 10th.
We have retained all the most popular features of our annual show, classes for all years of Datsun / Nissan Z cars with awards for 1st – 3rd places, a dealers choice award, people’s choice award, cooler fall weather, and our popular tailgate lunch.
We are also making some changes this year, beginning with a later date for cooler weather and to avoid conflicts with the NC State Fair and as many home football games as possible. We will be doing score tallying electronically to avoid delays between the end of judging and awards, and speaking of awards, there will be trophies for all class awards this year.
The show entry fee is $25 for pre-registration (whether you choose to pay on-line or wait until the day of show) and $35 for registration the day of show. We will provide a link to on-line registration when it opens later this week.
Watch www.TriangleZClub.com for information and updates as the show date approaches.

Hey everyone... when I can, I help Jason and Marty and the guys out with events and such outside of the track stuff. Part of that includes being a liaison between other Z clubs (and other car clubs in general).
I've got close ties with the Cape Fear Z Club in Wilmington, and there has been lots of discussion about our various events.
Year-before-last, kind-of at the last minute, we decided to combine our efforts with our (TZC) car show and their (CFZC), and while both events turned out nice, we didn't have as much cross-attendance as we would have liked. So this year, we're going to try it again, but with slightly more advanced planning.
Details are still being worked out (I did say slightly) but essentially, we'll be doing the car show in Durham as planned on Saturday, Novemeber 3rd... from there, the festivities will move east about 2 hours to Castle Hayne (just outside of Wilmington off of I-40) for a late afternoon/early evening pig-pickin at Bain William's ranch. That will be followed by other activities in the "garage" (and by garage I mean warehouse) possibly including some head-to-head racing sim action and/or a texas-hold'em mini-tourney.
Sunday we'll do some more driving... scenic routes in and around the Wilmington/Wrightsville beach area will be planned, photo-ops will be a plenty, possible give-aways via the poker fun run (last year the grand prize was of course a free entry into a TZC/THSCC driving event) and more then likely, left-overs from the Saturday pig on Sunday for lunch!

I'd like to add I hear Jay is hard at work planning a fantabulous poker run, and the trip and registration fee is well worth Bain's cooking alone! Trust me I know... I gain at least 5 pounds when ever I'm around Bain. I'm looking forward to the show! I'm hoping to have a couple new goodies in the Z for the event!

Jason, Stacy and all the gang from the Triangle Z Club thanks for a fun day and a great show at Michael Jordan Nissan in Durham. I hope you guys have fun in Wilmington tonight and tomorrow with the Cape Fear Z Club.
I ran out of interal memory in my camera and forgot to carry a memory card so I didn't get to take pictures of all the cars. Anyway here are some pictures I took today.

We want to thank everyone that came out. The show was a huge success. Jason jarvis and Alex Labdon did a great job on getting this organized
We also had a great time at Bain Williams spread that night. Great BBQ, and fixings and a nice social at the coast. I regreat I missed the beach blast and Poker run on Sunday. I hope someone here can give us a update on that.

I know you posted the link, but can you add the pictures here. they are very good, and many people don't follow links in threads.

2nd place Z31. The first place car was a 1987 that only had 9,000 miles on it. The girl who drove it received it as a bithday present and seemed like she just came over to see the Z car show. She ended up taking a 1st in class and dealers choice trophy home.
