Default Z in Fort Lauderdale FL

Hi people I'm new in the forum and I have a 2003 base. I live in Weston Florida. I only been in this state for a year and I don't know where I can go to do some work on my car. I live in front of Weston NISSAN, but I went there one time and the treat wasn't the best. I search and I found JAPTRIX in Palm Beach, but I'm trying to find a reliable place closer to my house 33331. What I want to do is JWT C/FW, test pipes and the 3.9 FD. Since my car is base I assume I would need a VLSD Pumpkin in order to do the swap. So I'm basically looking for a place where I can do all those mods at the same time. Then when I decide to do UTEC I will go to JAPTRIX. Any help will be very appreciated. I'm from Puerto Rico so I don't really know any reliable place to take care of my car or any good mechanic in the area.
Thankyou

You don't need a new pumpkin for the 3.917 gear unless you have an automatic. If you want an lsd quaife would be my first choice or a nismo lsd. Those are the best options when you have a base model. As far as local shops go I've found a shop in davie located south of I-595 between Universtity and Davie Rd. If you go east on SR 84 from University you will see a shopping plaza with a store I belive it's called BBQ delights, anyways there is a warehouse right behind that plaza and they work on Skylines, Sylvias, Z's, and Supras. Sorry I forgot the name of this shop but I can say I've seen their work and its nice.

I think the shop in davie your talking about is Import Japan. A friend of mine knew most of the people, said they are really good. They have a site skylineking.com. I don't remember the other one they had. There is a number on the site if you want to give them a call.

Pons Auto Serv.305-262-6150 they work on only Nissan and Z's. I've been going there for years. They are reasonable on there prices.Speak with Erick the owner. He recently installed my exhaust system and built my motor on my 91 twinturbo Z. I have recommended him to a lot of forum members and they are very happy. As a matter a fact he is building a motor on an 06. The guy put a twinturbo kit on the motor and it messed up the engine pretty bad.

I know its a long drive, but Japtrix won't let you down. There are quite a few Z's that live in your area that make the drive. They are a great bunch of guys and will take good care of you.

Also check out our club site South Florida Z Car Club at www.sfzcc.com

There's alot of info on there about different local shops and mod reviews...

So that means that I can buy the 3.9 FD without pumpkin or vlsd and do the swap? Sorry about my ignorance, but is that I have never see any base model doing the 3.9 fd without adding an lsd or vlsd. Thanks again

That's because the base has no LSD, so if you're going to upgrade the final drive you may as well add an LSD.
