Family emergency/surgeries always works as an excuse! I had 3 spring breaks last year without my grades dropping one bit.

Roebling Road is a GREAT track....I luv to drive there, long fast corners and smooth pavement (now)...It is "Big Track" compared to LTGP. A couple of the turns (3 & 9) are almost 100 MPH, with 130-140 MPH on the main straight....WOW it is a fun track for both less and more experienced drives. And much easier on the braking system than LTGP!

Hey Guys, I suggest that you hook-up with "Seat-time" or "Chin MotorSports". Seat-time would be the best for this outing as their rules are pretty lax, but they usually fun on Fridays....check them out.

Chin is a great organization, but are very strict on rules, like who is Solo qualified and who is not. So they will likely make newbies get and Instructor. Which by the way is not a Bad thing. A good instructor can really help a new driver

Or, run with the Porsche Club....I will be running with them Jan 18-20, but I think they are full now.

Yes, they allow camping....but when they lock the gate at night..you are locked inside the track. Just be prepared!

They are all full, I've tried sending them a check three weeks ago, saying they could put me into any group available, and it got returned

Jarred,
Have you PM's Asphalt Ventures (Stack) to maybe arrange this? They do these sorts of thinsg for clubs and the events still run under the club or individuals banner. Like a wedding planner

Hey... I'm up for a challenge

Camping at Roebling is allowed... BUT... and I do mean BUT. If you break the rules, or even appear like you might be breaking the rules, you will know about it, and you will not want to go back. The track managers live on site, so you're basically camping in their front yard.

Don't even THINK about getting in the gate earlier than they want to let you in, or later then they close it (unless you leave your car outside the gate and walk through the foot entrance)

A few clubs run events there and have not been very courteous or understanding of Roebling's rules and have essentially ruined it for all of us organizers. Driver's may not really notice (unless you want gas or something, or in the unfortunate event you get caught doing something on the grounds you're not supposed to.) I think the best word to use to describe Roebling's management: persnickety.

Have fun if you can get a date... like was mentioned earlier... if you go off track coming out of turn 9 (the last turn leading onto the main straight), no matter how innocuous the off might seem, DO NOT try to bring it back on track. There's a very unforgiving concrete wall along the pit lane that is a magnet for people who think they can save it there.

For those of you wanting an early track event, and you've got some experience under your belt, I'm running a lapping day on Monday Feb 11th at VIR North Course and I have lots of room left in that event. The TZC/THSCC is on Full Course that same weekend, but the event is close to selling out at the moment.

So from scanning the posts so far, it looks like most people are interested in February? Jarred will be MIA for a few hours but when he gets in he could attach a public poll to see what month/weekday would be easiest for everyone. Roebling's (tentative) schedule is here: http://www.roeblingroad.com/schedule.html. Looks like the weekends are all booked up, but maybe a Friday or Monday would be preferable so some people can take a mini-vacation over the weekend in Savannah? For those wanting to camp, you'd probably do better to go find a really pretty campsite than worry about the track owners' rules. BTW, Jarred's moving out there this weekend so I think he's going to check in w/ the track and then set this thing in motion officially.

So far the people interested are:

1. aarantes
2. dkmesa350z
3. Vizage
4. craigo'sznprgrs
5. mhoward1
6. Stack
7. Billhyco
8. DuMA
9. robbycolli
10. ke0ki2k
11. Zelig2
12. tchiuda
13. eagletanggreen
14. laze1 (?)
15. Jarred@Z1

Not bad!

(I don't count. I'll be a passenger.)
