What is Rockingham like? And threads from previous track days? Or plans for one in the near future?

yes, Yes, and yes.

We will be there this summer/fall.

It is a lot of fun for such a short course. Turns 1-2 will give you new appreciation for the Nascar guys. The banking there is so much fun, and having a car turn hard enough that it's tough to hold your head up is amazing.

A lot of people are nervious because of all of the concrete, but it's not really that bad, and better than the last turn at RA. The biggest concern I have there is the debrie that is kicked up, but the new curbing has made that a lot better.

I can do a turn by turn break down if you want. So can many others here.

The Rock is like scarey. The wall at the outside of the banked walls is always looking at you from above. I would not go more than 110 in my Z. Jsut the thought that a mistake would ruin your entire car.

This is also the only track where I have been off track. Not fun but very exciting. I was chasing a faster car and did not slow down enough as I entered the infield.

Now y'all got me really wanting to go there too! I'll get you to give me a turn-by-turn closer to the next track day there.

Man, I want to go to Road Atlanta, Roebling Road, Barber, Rockingham, CMP, VIR...everywhere!

At the risk of sounding uber sarcastic.... you guys know there's a sub-forum devoted completely to all things track and autocross related... right?

Kill Joy...

Actually, the other forum is great..but many of the first timers don't go there and look in the regional forums (which you and I know well). I would take Stacy's suggestion and see what is going on in the Autocross/Track section. There are some good events coming up.

I think he just passed out.

He'll attach that poll tomorrow so people can vote their preference for month/day and he'll get up with the track people this weekend. We haven't been, so we're going to check it out. Will update immediately, promise! I can't wait.

Hey guys i got a hold of the track today and it would be 2k for the first car and 150/car after that. I need to know who has been out there before because they demand that some people have experence out at their track before if you have not been there it doesnt matter how much experence. It looks like it will be 320/car. Thats really high so i would not be driving i would just be there to help organize.

I wouldn't do $320, so if that's the case, count me out

Like I said before,,hook-up with Seat time run for $175 a day.........or Chin for $325 for 2 days.........

BTW: I will not be running any events in Feb as my Daughter is having my 1st Grand Child sometime in Mid Feb. However i will be running a track day somewhere in the South East every month for the rest of the year. I will be running with Chin, Seat time, PCA, and NASA...

Also, the Redline Auto Club, S2KAtlanta, and the WRX Atlanta will be doing A local Time Attach series this year....For more info talk to JMAN on RedLineAutoClub.com or jman@alancoxautomotive....tell him "Laze1" sent you..

Note: This is NOT the National Redline Time attach Org, this is a local club.

Sorry, it wasn't really directed at you specifically... just that there's lots of events already being run and promoted already (not just ours).
