NC personlized Plates
Hey Everyone,
I am going to get some personlized NC plates. What do all the NC people have on their plates already? Any good ideas? I have a SS Touring.

hey daniel...
i just applied for "zul8r"
some i know of already "03 350 Z", "ZBLUEBYU", and "SUNSET Z"
i would look around the boards at people's screen names and pictures of their cars to get some ideas. good luck.
also...you can get the app. online at the dmv, in case you didn't know.
later.

When I was looking, ZMEFLYBY was still available in this state. I tried several versions of ZYAL8R but all I tried were taken. I eventually decided to go for something non-aggressive (see to the left).
There is at least one thread on this board where people exchange suggestions. Remember, just because it's taken in another state doesn't mean you can't get it here!
You can't check availability online in NC, but when I called the lady I talked to was reasonably cooperative & looked a few up for me. My suggestion is for you to compile a list and put them in order of preference, then go down to a DMV office and deal directly with a counter-person. That way you're not relying on mail and uncertain which choice you got. Also, if you get down on your list into the less-desirables you can stop, say "no thanks" and walk away and compile another list.
FWIW
