Im sorry to ask this, but is there ever a very well planned out annual all florida meet?

The reason I ask is because I see alot of meets in florida, but I always see different sections of FL. Example panhandle meet, south FL. meet, central florida meet, tampa meet.

I can understand this in Cali because it takes almost 8 hours to get from SD yo san fran. But is there ever an all state annual meet in a specific area here in FL?

When I use to belong to another car forum. we started an all florida meet every year at a different theme park. First year there was like 20 cars and alot of people and by the third year there were more than 35 cars and more than 50 people! they use to try to call up the theme park and just ask if they could park togethor and usually they were cool enough to try.

It was great and we all had a great time, yes its hard to keep that many people togethor but we broke off into groups and had a ball! we all then ate dinner at a local place and called it a night.

some people left that night and some stayed in hotels or some members let people stay in their pads, it was great.

My question is, is there such a meet here? if no, is anyone intrested in doing so?

 

sounds like a good idea... I doubt I would ever road trip the Z though.. way too much gas $$$

 

come on its only a one time thing a year! i bet with all the fun and people youll meet, it would all be worth it dont ya think?

we have had one in Orlando in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, it was skipped in 2007 for the National Convention in Daytona and there is not plan so far this year.

I would think the best way about going about doing this in posting a poll where do you live in Florida? Then plan a spot where most people could make the drive. Most people are not going to want to drive from Miami to upstate Florida, unless it was going to be a huge turn out.

 

All, except for the convention were in Orlando as it is a central spot for everyone in the state, but you will always have whiners about driving more than 20 minutes, best part were the caravans up and back, and it was a weekend event, except for the convention which was a week. There people from all corners of the state plus Georgia and Alabama

Not sure if one will happen this year as everyone was burntout after organizing the Convention last year, but for sure next year if not towards the end of this year.

started small in 2003? LOL doesn't look too small! That cruise looks like a lot of fun!

 

There's another one called "THE RUN" which is in Tampa. I've only been once, but it had a huge turn out and the poker run was a nice Sunday drive(although some of the PF guys thought it was a race ).
