Thought I'd throw this out here:
During the TZC/THSCC track event, Wednesday & Thursday May 28-29 (VIR Full Course ... www.virclub.com), we will be running a wet skid pad. I'd like to offer the skid-pad only entry for anyone who might be interested. No previous experience necessary, we'll have some people on hand to ride with you.
All you need to do is make sure your car is free of any loose items that can roll around and cause any damage (or be damaged) since your car will see some g-forces and slip angles not normally seen on public roads.
Basically, we'll have a circle of cones set up, you'll drive around and around them in either direction, experiencing/learning extreme under steer and over steer on the wet asphalt. You can even use it to practice your drifting if that's your thing.
Cost would be $40 all-you-can-drive per day, or $50 for both days. With the skid pad entry, you'll have access to the HPDE and Time Trial paddock, and even opportunities to sit in on our classroom sessions. If you've got a Snell SA rated helmet (or can borrow one that fits) we can even arrange some hot-lap rides with some of our instructors. Helmets are not required for the skid pad sessions (see details on this below.)
To sign up, simply go to the event registration page:
http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...14C33300B0CE44
Set up a MotorsportReg account (if you don't already have one) and look for the 'Skid Pad Only' option.
Let me know if you have any questions
