it won't be the first time it rained during a hooters meet. everyone be sure to bring umbrellas this time so we can meander out in the parking lot, esp. to look at the supra

i'm in either way, rain or shine. rain just means no cruise afterwards.

Thanks all. I'll try to make it but if it rains, I'm probably not going to bring the Supra. I've spent a few long days detailing the Supra and really don't want to see all my work "washed" away. I'll also see if my buddy want to come.

Eric -- No, I don't own the silver car. That's Jim Swantko from North Raleigh. His car is a beast! Mine's just straight BPU (Basic Power Upgrade) with cat-less down pipe, boost controller, Greddy PE, Greddy front mount intercooler, kevlar clutch, Fadanza flywheel, and a few other little things. I push about 19 psi and dynoed most recently at ~420 rwhp; 430 rwtq. (12.6 / 116 in the quarter) Not bad, but certainly not in Jim's class.

Sean, I'm certain I saw you yesterday (Monday) afternoon at about 4:45. Weren't you in-bound toward Cary on Old Apex Road near the intersection of Highhouse? I recognized your car by the grill. It looks good.

My 350Z-driving buddy David said he'd like to hook up with you guys too.

Just a thought, but is there any interest in changing the location of this meet to Cary? I think I have read in other posts that some of you guys live/work in Morrisville, Cary, and Apex. That would make going to some place like Chuckum's at Highhouse and Cary Parkway easier than hauling it up to North Raleigh. Chuckum's has a lot of parking too. The only downside is that . . . well, you know.

Chime in here. What do you say?

 

I don't care where we do it, Cary is cool, I live about 2 miles from Chuckum's. Maybe we can all meet up tonight or something, weather looks better tonight, Wed looks shitty. Just a thought.

I don't want to change things up unless you guys who originally were setting up this get-to-gether want to. But, Chuckum's would work much better for David and me. We each live about 2-3 miles from there. I live off of Castalia and David lives on Gold Meadow Drive (parallels Old Apex). As for tonight, I could be there for a while if we start -- say at or before 7 -- but must leave early enough to make my weekly poker game by 8.

So, I guess what I am saying is I can make it tonight provided we meet at or before 7. I'm a little more flexible on the time if we meet tomorrow but still would rather to it in Cary if possible.

Because of the bad weather predicted for tomorrow, a couple of us who were planning on meeting at Hooters tomorrow (Wednesday) are hooking up at Chuckum's in Cary tonight at 7 pm. Two 350Zs and a Supra TT BPU+ so far.

Any one who can make it is welcome.

 

Looks like I'll be able to make Hooters tomorrow after all! See y'all there!

It's too late for this meet, I think, but someplace closer to Cary would be OK for me for future meets. I'm in north-west Raleigh. Maybe we can find a happy medium. Hooters is a ways from Cary.
