Texas was really dry and the elevations go from one extreme to the next. Same thing pretty much with Cali. But Cali has ALOT of things to do along with a diverse ecology, but since the state is so long, the drive takes FOREVER - much like Florida. I love the mountains though. Hopefully I'll get to take a hiking and canoeing trip by next year with our family. I love the outdoors! I miss North Carolina - just don't miss the taxes.
