Yeah, he PayPald me the money, picked up the seats and then disputed the charges on his credit card and paypal debited me the money. I was hoping to try and find him and settle this first, but I was atleast smart enough to get his truck tag when we met up. I use to be in law enforcement so in the past I could have just ran the tag, but it has been awhile and I really didnt care at first so I let it go.. But seeing my locked paypal account this week pissed me off again so I am pursuing it. If I dont have any luck this way, Ill just have a friend run the tag and probably drive either to St Lucie or Miami and meet up with him.. What part of Kendall do yyou live in ? I grew up in Winston Park and went to Sunset.. I probably know half of Metro Dade PD..

damn it... i am sick of not only these scam stories, but more specifically the
rabid use of paypal as a vehicle for this type of fraud. have you filled out a
report yet? i think you should just stick it to him. i doubt he flipped the seats,
perhaps he thought you wouldn't be able to backtrack into his residence/location.

hopefully this gets resolved quickly. someone this dumb could have a bench warrant
for a speeding ticket, or even something worse lingering. keep us posted.

 

What I find strange is that Paypal gave him back the money without seeing your side of the story. The fact that you did not give paypal a tracking number may have to do with that. What does the person look like OP?

When did you graduate from Sunset? C/O 2000 here.

 

Paypal is great for buyers but not good for sellers b/c of this, my friend runs an ebay store and hey says it happens alot, he's sold people shoes provided a tracking number and what they do is dispute put old shoes in the box and mail it back. Paypal always sides with the buyer.

 

Somebody wants to buy my rims, I said COD only or check, and wait til the check clears. No Paypal.

 

I gave Paypal all of his info, emails from him and they just told me that he told his credit card that he did know anything about the seats.. Once the Credit card company takes their money, paypal takes theirs.. The gave me a -$500 balance on my account.. I said F you Im not paying it.. So now my account is closed and its on my credit.. I tried to get the credit card company info but PayPal would not release it.. "Yet" Ill get it..

 

Be very careful especially in Miami.. I know someone who received a Cashiers check from Northern bank in S Miami and it was counterfeit.. They can print anything now... I would not sell anything that is not CASH only... To many crooks out there..
