I have taken a new job at Shaw Group in downtown Charlotte NC and will be needing a place to stay during the week ie Mon-Thurs. The Shaw Group is located on 128 S. Tryon St. I would like somewhere real close to the office or close to the transportation system to downtown so I don't end up paying for parking downtown. I live in Greer SC 91 miles away so I don't really want to drive home everynight. Recommendations? Thanks!

Just to update. I took an apt. south of town and ride the light rail to and from work. I drive home (Greer SC) on fridays and return on sunday night. The Nuke work seems to be pretty steady. Apt is decent ($545) and close to nice shops and South Park mall. I have a covered parking spot even though I don't drive the 350Z back and forth. I picked up a 09 Honda Civic Si 4 door for the Charlotte drive. Fun car, lots of room and good gas mileage.
I need another JOB, you need a place to RENT. How small the world is!
I would recommend anything above exit 16 north of I-77. Anything else below that is GHETTO, and you will get robbed! IMO. I live north exit 25, Nice reasonable apartments.
