Hi, guys. Recently got a GA speeding ticket at turner county (90mph in 70 zone). Called the court, they said the fine is 425 dollars!!! 425 for just 20mph over the speed limit??? Is that normal fines in GA? Any suggestions how to reduce it?

Just pay the ticket. You could go to court and they MAY reduce the fine, but once you waiste your time and money to get back here, you would likely spend more. Yes that sounds about right. Just paid $300 for 15 over. You got caught in our Super Speeder(anything over 85mph), be thankful because that is the minimum fine.

The super speeder law tacks on an additional $200 to your normal ticket.

i got a $700 ticket 3 years ago on 95 in georgia for doing 96/70 never speeding through georgia again

 

Sorry about your misfortune.

Even though I have the Escort laser jamming system (front and rear) I always try to tail someone who is driving fast . . . using them to clear the way.

It has saved me many, many times.
