Looks like the weather will be decent this weekend and I'm itching for drive.

Anyone in the Charlotte area want to meet and make a drive this weekend?

 

i know saturday nite there will be a group of cars meeting up at the old Kmart parking lot off of Independence by 485. we're gonna be putting a Jackson Racing S/C on my buddies RSX friday and saturday...we hope to have the install done before saturday nite so we can roll out there.

 

Are you talking about toward Matthews? Where exactly and what time? I can probably roll out there for a while depending on what time everyone is meeting.

 

Probaboy can't do the Saturday night thing. Should be able to do a drive during day Saturday.

Might could do something on Sunday, but I am trying to get people interested in driving up to VIR on Sunday. No luck finding anyone to make that trip yet. If people wantsto do something around here instead on Sunday, I could be talked into it.

 

Since it is Valentine's Weekend next weekend probably would be better to get some Z's together

 

I was out at the KMart the last time they had cars out there.I just rolled through on my way home. Just a bunch of knuckle-head kids with Civic'c and stuff like that. No offense, but that's that's what I call a "Cop Magnet". Those Matthews Police are pretty aggressive in busting up meets like that and/or pulling you over as you're leaving "just because".

i think they usually meet out there around 11:00. if you're on 74 going toward Matthews, its on the right before you get to 485. i havent been out there since its gotten cold, but if the weather bearable this w/e me and a few buddies may roll out there. my buddy with a turbo prelude said they're are about 30 cars out there....last summer we had about 200 cars in the Regal parking lot til security started being bitches. im sure it'll get like that again once it warms up some.

 

yea, occasionally there are handful of ricers out there. i havent been out that way since probably about November....so i dunno how the gatherings look now. but during the summer there were a lot of nice cars....Viper ACR, supercharged 350, saleens, motor swapped hondas, turbo M3, a lot of fast domestics, etc. the cops dont harass them at the Kmart parking lot.

 

Yeah, the last time I was out there was in Jan. It was suprisingly warm that weekend! All I saw were ricers. It would be good to be around some quality cars. I hate Winter!!!

 

Looked like a scene from Rice Cops last time I drove by the K-Mart on 74 and no lights...hmmmm Sunday looks like rain and I owe my 2 loves (my wife and my Z) some quality time Saturday. I bought my Z last Valentines Day too. Next sunday looks like it might work - let me know - I'm in Matthews/Indian Trail.
