Default O-Town Dyno

I found Turner Motorsports via the web. They are on/around Goldenrod Rd. I called them and found out that they would charge me from $50-$125 for several runs. I told them I wanted to install headers, high flow cats, Y-Pipe etc... and stated that they were too expensive. Then the prices came down a bit. I ended up being quoted $50 for 3-4 pulls w/o an oxygen sensor reading. $75 for one w/ the oxygen sensor reading.

BTW, they use a dynojet (not sure which type). I opted to have my RT Cats installed at a place closer to my home. I'll probably get the crawford plenum and JIC Y-Pipe installed before I do any dyno runs. I'm mostly interested in A/F ratio and FINAL hp/torque numbers.

Also, I'm a G35 coupe 6MT owner, so this advise isn't as good as it was coming from an actual Z owner

Titanmotorsports has a brand NEW dynojet. Great guys too.
GarageAdvance has one and is pretty cheap for Orlando...
titan is home of the Supra/WRX off 436
Garage Advance is a little bit west a little bit off West HWY50

Between 50 for 3 runs NO A/F and 65 depending on which you choose.

That's what I meant. Went to lunch and looked at some info in my car. Titan Motorsports is the name.

I'm in too. I'd prefer to wait ~1 month. I'm having my RT Cats installed Saturday morning (I don't own a hydraulic jack small enough to fit under the G). I'll probably be buying the Crawford Plenum myself with in a week or so and doing the install myself, and I'm waiting for the JIC Y-Pipe to arrive from Japan (should be 1st or 2nd week of April). Are G35's welcome to hang with the Z's? If so, there is a small, loyal group of Orlando local G35 Coupes who would probably like to get in on the action. Someone pick a date and I'll post over on Fresh Alloy and G35Driver.

When I spoke w/ Brad at TMS he said that there has not been a big Z/G showing at his shop. I asked him about group discounts and he said he'd work something out if we got some guys together (FYI... this conversation took place in Feb.)

See ya around,

Group deals of 10 or more will reduce the price... at both locations.

http://www.lugoperformance.com/lugo_racing.htm

I had some work done at lugo performance and dyno tuning with the wideband o2. They are mostly a mustang shop so expect any work on the z to be a little more expensive than a qualified z shop.

But, they have the latest Mustang Dyno MD-1750
http://www.mustangdyne.com/

They also do dyno days, dyno challenges, and dyno rentals for car clubs.

Are you part of the http://centralfloridazclub.com/index.htm
They also tend to organize dyno rentals for the group.

The http://www.sfzcc.com/home.html just had a dyno day in palm beach, March 6th I think it was. http://www.sfzcc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=297

BTW: I'm in on a group session.

Mustang Dyno's SUCK...for what ya'll want to do.
You want an accurate WHP reading. Dynojet is the best for that
If you want to tune your car, the mustang dyno enables you to do a lot more. So, yes, it would be better but not for exact whp numbers.

Go with a dynojet...

Well TMS has a Dyno Jet according to Dyno jet's web site. "Brad" seemed very knowledgeable when talking about Supra's, STI's and EVO's, and made me feel real comfortable (over the phone) about working with Nissan's/G's. They do sell parts for 350Z's like Stillen superchargers (No Vortech) headers, exhausts, etc... I think the best thing to do, would be to pick a time & day that's good for everyone (including the shop) and make this thing happen. I'd push for mid to late April, but would be game to go before that If the majority agreed.

Who on this forum is the person with the "hook up" at TMS? I don't mind making the phone calls, but if someone has done business w/ them before it might help our cause some.

I'll keep checkin' back in...

I'm down for April, just remember that Zfest is the 17th-19th. We might want to PM westpack, I know he wanted to set up dyno for use during the meet. If it falls through for the meet we can always do something a little later for the locals.

Hey fellas....im one of the "loyal orlando G owners" neff spoke of. Just thought i would throw a post up to let you know i might be up for a dyno meet.
Im gonna try to make Zfest but its the weekend before finals so im not sure, and there is a Miami G meet on the 24th im thinking of going to as well. Just make a plan and I will do my best to make it.

Default Place Picked!

maximumsportZ

I am going out on a limb here and picking a place, Titan Motorsports. In previous posts, you said that someone just needed to pick a place, so I did. Also, given the fact that they have a dynojet, I think it's a no brainer.

I nominate you to call up and try to set something up. How does Saturday May 1, 2004 sound? That should give the shop enough time to schedule a day for us and that would also allow us some time to gather up a small army of locals. I know that Z-fest is Saturday the 17th of April. I also know that there is a Miami meet for the G35 group on Saturday the 24th of April, so May 1st seems to be our best chance for a large showing.

Anyone else want to add anything, pro or con, about May 1st?

Is this thread dead? It's been a while since we've talked about this... Is there still anyone interested in this besides me?
Thanks,
