Default Denver holiday season meet

I think it’s about time we had another Denver-area 350Z meet. I suspect that we’ll all want to take a break from the holiday madness during the next few weeks, and what better way to do that than to get together with your Z-car friends for dinner & happy hour, with plenty of car talk and general conversation about last- and next-year’s warmer weather Z activities thrown in?

Holiday weather may not be conducive to a drive or a typical outdoor/parking lot meet, but I wonder if we can try to flexibly plan something to give us an excuse to get together and catch up. I’m thinking something along the lines of Rock Bottom or Dave & Busters up north, or anything similar down south if anyone from the southern part of town would prefer to meet down in that neck of the woods (since the last few of these have been up north) and has any ideas on where we can meet.

I’m thinking sometime the week of December 5th through the 11th (either an evening during the week, or an afternoon on the weekend) might be a good time to try and get together, as that will give us some time to get this coordinated but still get together before the Christmas travel schedule hits. As a start, I'll suggest a dinner/happy hour meet at 6pm on Wednesday, December 8th, at a place to be determined here based on input from anyone who can make it out that week. Please chime in with any feedback on the date/time, and any preference on location. Who's in?

Gary

I'd like to try and make this, as for times/days. I'd say preferrably a weekend or friday with an evening time.. say 7pm or so?

Gary, thanks for getting the ball rolling. I can make the 8th and 6:00 would be doable. Later is okay with me as well. I'm pretty much open. If there is no objections or alternate suggestion, I'd think the Rock Bottom is a good place. It seemed to work out with everyone the last time we were there. The 11th is taken already so a weekday is the ticket.

Count me in. I would prefer a weekend though, but it doesn't really matter.

Next Wednesday (12/8) at 6 pm works for me. I'll let the group pick the restaurant/bar- just let me know the address!

I'm glad to hear that everyone can make it. Looking forward to talking Z again. Hope Brian can make it also. I need to pick Gary's brain about brakes and suspension. Money I don't have yet is burning a hole in my pocket. Got to spend!!!

I would love to meet up with you guys. I play in a volleyball league on wednesdays, but I don't think my game is until 8. So I could still have a little fun before I had to leave.

Might be able to swing it, depending on work. I've been working 60+ hour weeks lately.

I'd have to vote for something at least somewhat closer to the south end of town. Getting anywhere near downtown or the north side of Denver by 6pm on a Wednesday would be damn near impossible for me.

There's a CB Potts near Arapahoe and I-25 (6575 Greenwood Plaza). Would that work, or is that too far south for some of you who live up north?

Made a mistake on my post, meant to say the 8th should work fine.
EDIT: seven or later would be great

Looks like we'll have a pretty good turnout for this one, and it sounds like the 8th will work for most people. I personally don't mind moving the location a little more southward, particularly considering that Will is already coming up from the Springs and that we've already had so many of these up north in the past.

So how does that sound to everyone? Wednesday, December 8th, at CB & Potts on the north side of Arapaho, just west of I-25. Also, it sounds like 7 pm might work better for most to allow for more non-rush-hour drive time for those with a longer haul to get there (hope that will still give you time to drop by before your game, C5Demon.)

Post up if there are any disagreements on the new location and time and we'll get it worked out. This should be a fun one; I'm looking forward to it!

Writing to you from a public access site in Lodo. My PC is not happy again.

I haven't been on in awhile, so I didn't see this until now.

I will see everyone at Potts next Weds.

That is fine for CB Potts and I think 7:00 would be better than 6:00 for that part of town. It'll take me as long to get there from Arvada as it will take Will from the springs. Looking forward to a great evening and some good bench racing.
