February FAC for Colorado Zers
David --
Thanks for the invitation and the hospitality. The GT3 car is amazing -- if I get some time available away from work, maybe I can help you guys wrench on it in preparation for the rapidly approaching race season.

Thanks to everybody who managed to make it down last night. I certainly enjoyed hosting such a friendly and diverse group. Lots of laughs and good car talk throughout the evening. Gary M05 even stopped by after a long day at work and helped me with my kaput PC afterwards (thanks again Gary)! Sorry that we didn't get any pics of our Z party- I loved seeing my driveway with all those Z's in it!
For those that missed it, one highlight was watching everybody take their turn at checking out the cockpit of the GT3 350Z and fitting into the Kirkey race seat. There should be no doubt about whether race drivers are athletes- you needed to be both a contorsonist and acrobat to get in and outa that sucka!

You're most welcome! Thanks for the latter offer- Illusion Motorsports is always looking for some good wrenches.

David,
Had a great time at your place last evening. Thanks for hosting the get together. It was a lot of fun talking with everyone and a rare chance to get to "try on" a real race car. It sure gave me a taste of what those guys must go through on the track. Even the in-car cams can't give you the feel that actually sitting in one can.
Thanks again!!

That reminds me of a time a was lucky enough to sit in a top fuel dragster, which was built for a girl driver. Once I actually sat in it I couldn't get out without the help of 2 other people, I was kinda wedged in there. I actually have some pics that my buddy took and you can see the fear all over my face.
Glad you all had a great time, I'm sure I will get to see the car sometime David.

Brian-
You were missed! I liked your story on the top fuel dragster LOL! Similar to when I tried sitting inside a very skinny Formula car- my shoulders just wouldn't fit. That ended my dreams of driving that particular class of open wheel racers...
Give me a call whenever you get back and want to check out the GT3 car! That goes for anybody who happened to miss our little get-together last Friday.

Thanks again Dave,
The food, conversation, and the GT3 were great. Sorry I had to leave early. We’ll definitely have to stay in touch if the CU Denver school ever responds back on any engineering projects. Thanks again,
David
