Sorry for those who couldn't make it…you missed a great time and a big turnout (I think I remember counting 12 of us in attendance.) Lot of good conversation, food, and beverage. Thanks to those who came out for showing why we continue to have such a great local Z group!

For those who were unable to attend, here are some of the events we discussed:

We have a full-day mountain drive scheduled for Saturday, May 21st, to a destination to-be-determined. We're thinking about something along the lines of Aspen or Steamboat, but the weather and the high-altitude road conditions will help us finalize our destination as the day draws closer. I'm going to create a separate thread to handle the planning of that event, but wanted to mention it here to document what we agreed upon.

Also, we discussed the possibility of an overnight or long-weekend drive to the Durango area. Daryl will post up more about that in the coming weeks. For those who have been to that area, you know that the roads are twisty and the scenery is breath-taking.

Additionally, we heard about the national Got-Z (www.got-z.com) gathering, which will be happening in Denver this year on June 16-20. Details are still being finalized by those responsible for that event, but you can check their website for the latest details.

We also discussed the possibility of another track day (in addition to the Z-club track days,) but don't have anything set up yet. Due to the summer track schedule, any track events within the next few months will likely have to happen during the week, as most weekends are booked up.

It was great to see everyone again after a LONG winter. As some of us were discussing, we really should do this more often. I'm looking forward to making up for lost time with an active summer driving season!

Great summation Gary and thanks for putting this meet together! Too bad the weather did not cooperate and sorry to hear that Juztin lost a windshield. Due to the forecast, I drove the winter beater, a 200SX Se-R ITS racecar with Goodyear icegrip tires and was I glad I did! Golfball-sized hail near Quebec and I-70 had cars scrambling for cover near the underpasses. Could have been a serious accident as some cars came to a DEAD STOP in both the right and left lanes of the highway.

Having a full roll cage and good snow tires made all the difference in going to Westminster that night!
