Default Insurance question

Didn't find what I was looking for in the search, so here we go...

What's the percentage of decrease in your insurance premium after turning 25?

I didn't ask in the general forum since it may differ from state to state. Thanks!

ask your insurance provider, it's been so long since I turned 25 i forgot what it was like and now can't remember that I was even 25 to begin with.

LOL I can understand. I spoke with my insurance provider and she didn't have an answer. It's all good, I'm sure that whatever it is, it's better than nothin.'

Its not a set percentage and will vary from state to state. In NJ, we don't over full adult rate until a male reaches the age of 30. The only other way to get the adult rate here is to get married.

If your insurance provider can't give you that figure you may want to consider a new provider. That should be an easy lookup for them. I just bought a truck and my provider was able to tell me the new yearly premium and my pro-rated premium for the remainder of this year in a matter of moments.

It depends on the company, when I was an underwriter for Progressive, there was no 25 discount, it varied steadily with age rather than having a set premium reduction for 25 and over. State Farm did have such a discount though, so it depends on the company. Most companies will decline to say simply because estimating a future change such as that may no be accurate. It's easy to say what would happen if you added a new vehicle or remove one, but looking ahead a year, the whole discount may change. Also, most companies are not going to pro-rate for the change if they do. The premium will vary only upon renewal, even if you happen to turn 25 half way through the coverage period. In other words, discounts or reductions might not be applied the day after you turn 25, but when the policy renews. Hope that helps.

Resolute pretty much hit the nail on the head. I get that question all the time. I just tell them that in most instances the older you get the cheaper your insuance will be. when your 24 its cheaper than being 23, 25 cheaper than 24 and so on. Thats the easiest way to put it. If you want a quote just pm me.

Yo Jarhead,

Give the condition of your front bumper, it is apparent that you drive your car like you do a tank that is the reason why your insurance went up.
