Just wanted to get around to posting a review of my experience with TC Performance and also my short review of the Greddy TT kit.
TC Performance
Tobi over at TC Performance is well known among the Honda crowd and many people with many different makes of cars always spoke very highly of his work. Even when he started his shop out of his garage. After knowing Tobi over the years and talking to him about the Greddy TT kit install recently I definately felt very confident about taking my car to Tobi's to get the Greddy TT kit installed and tuned. Before anything was done with the turbo kit he checked out my motors condition due to it's higher mileage and after getting the A-OK from him he proceeded to install the Greddy TT kit. Tobi gave me some no-BS advice about the include e-manage engine management and after discussing it with Tobi for a while I opted to go with the UTEC EMS. Even though Tobi was not necessarily familiar with the UTEC he gave me more than enough confidence in him to go out and learn the system and give my car a solid tune.
Throughout the installation process TC Performance showed it's expertise on the 350z platform by giving me an extremely clean install and doing some pro-active heat wrapping, re-routing, and stabalizing of different parts that would otherwise possible cause issues later on down the road with heat, vibrations etc. The installation itself took place over a few days with Tobi staying late to make sure the car was done correctly the first time around. Some pieces did end up missing form the kit that he took care of and overall the install went without any issues because of his solid expertise.
When it came time to tune, Tobi used his Dynapack load based dyno to give my car a very solid tune that runs STRONG! The tune took place over about 2 days with the 1st night being a long night so Tobi could get comfortable with the UTEC. When it came time to pick up the car and drive it around I had nothing but a huge *** smile on my face. The power delivery is very linear and it felt like a 2nd engine was added to the car. The turbo timer was nicely mounted below the steering wheel to give the car a uncluttered dash and the JWT clutch that Tobi installed felt real nice and was grabbing without a hitch.
Overall Tobi, and TC's Performance in general showed their expertise in performance and also their knowledge of the 350z platform. Colorado definately has a very 350z friendly shop and that's TC Performance. No having to drive to Texas, California, or Arizona for an install and tune when Colorado has TC's Performance. I have nothing but great things to say about TC Performance and the Z is running better than I could hope for. It's 399/381 tq on Dynapack dyno which commonly reads lower than dynopro/MAC is nothing to sneeze at either. Especially since the UTEC MAP is only recording 6.6psi. I credit my car running great because of Tobi's solid tune, and expert installation.
Anybody considering 350Z work that doesn't want to do it themselves (from a simple air intake install to a built engine), or with risk - take it to Tobi's (TC Performance). You won't regret it.
The next step (eventually) is for TC Performance to build my block and up the boost
But for now I'm MOOOREEEE then happy w/ the car's capabilities thanks to TC's Perf.

Our dyno pricing is $150 an hour for tuning. Now that I have 10 or so hours logged on the UTEC I can fly through the tuning. Depending on what you are after with the car an hour or two should cover it for an NA setup.
Juztin, I'm so frickin Jealous. I just saw that you got the TT kit from the Dyno Day thread.
I know we have both made posts crying about all the HP loss from living in the Mile High City. Glad you were able to do something about it. I can't imagine what that thing will do in the mountains!
I definitely have to get a ride in that thing(although I might drive my NA Z off a cliff afterwards!) Hopefully you will make it to MAC's.
Those are amazing numbers, and you don't even have exhaust. I guess I need to get on Deal or No Deal and get me some Turbo Money. Glad to see we are getting more TT's in Colorado, the state that needs it the most and seems to have the fewest.

Thanks Star, the car should come factory boosted! I have to moderate myself driving the car otherwise I blow thru gas money like the car pulls when in boost
No prob, just catch me at the DD and we can tear up Parker Rd
I would ideally like to go 3" on the exhaust and get even better spool and more power, but for now I need to stay away from getting more power hungry as the car can easily get me in so much trouble w/ the five-o

when i got it back from tuning and hours of varrying load for tuning the ECU said i was getting 9.8 mpg lol. Now it says I get 38.9mpg which is probably hogwash. If I stay out of boost the gas milage is fine. But once I get into boost the car definately drinks gas. I'd say around 10mpg under boost, but couldnt give you a definitive figure. Trust me though, when i get on it with a few WOT runs the gas guage dips slightly lol
hyperz - I'd defiantely recommend it
