Default only on c470....

can you be driving 130 and still get passed 3 times.....

i had forgotten how insanely fast people drive on that road until i had to drive on it last night... i really don't get why they don't put a speed trap there because the cops would make bank..

Did you put your plate cover back on yet? Again, wasting time when there are better "badguys" to catch...

Well, your first mistake was only driving 130.

130 on C470 is pretty dumb, there's not much straight road for that kinda speed, easy to overjudge a turn and probably end up doing barrel rolls at 120+. Man I've always seen staters on that stretch of road, you got lucky you didn't get caught. Crazy stuff!

Porsche cayenne s
bmw, looked like a 5 series but it passed me pretty quick
STI

but i wasn't all that worried about rolling or cops....
not worried about cops because my friends were in front of me in a dodge dakota and a mustang gt and i gave them about a quarter mile lead and just watched their brake lights and watched for cops coming out behind them

and i wasn't worried about rolling because i'm not sure where you've been on c470 juztin but in 10 minutes of driving at that speed i saw two curves that i even felt the need to slow down for at all and there were a few stretches probably a half mile long of perfectly straight road

on that road my speed barely qualified as crazy...at one point i was cruising at 95 and was keeping even pace with most of the people ont he road....

and i generally didn't go nearly as fast around any groups of cars unless i was just passing them.

my friend on the other hand... he scares me because he was in a big truck weaving all over the place and never touched his brakes the whole time... crazy ****er

There is only one true straight on C470; about 5 miles or so from I-70. But it is only 3 miles long or less. At 130, you would blow by it in almost exactly 60 seconds, assuming you were at 130 when you entered it.

Not the smartest of moves if you ask me, and I am speaking from experience. The only time I ever hit 100 in my Z was on that spot on the way back from Vail once. Even then, I only maintained for a few seconds before slowing back down to limit+9. Right then I noticed a CSP cruiser at the top of the hill with a patrolman standing right next to it with his radar pointed at the west bound lane. I didn't even see him until I was less than a half mile away. Had he been facing me, he would have got me without a doubt, and royaly so.

I am very careful on C4 now.

I'm not sure what you consider a large curve or anything but i really don't feel 130 was any danger at all except possibly being caught by cops. THe whole time driving there were maybe 3 turns greater than 5-8 degrees and any turns that were much more than the 5-8 degrees i slowed to around the 80's or 90's

the only person i think who may have been dangerous was my friend in the dodge truck because not only is it top heavy but he was weaving through traffic a lot

Dude, Kaiser, be careful. I think you're missing the point of it being dangerous. It's not the turns or if your truck/car not being able to handle going that speed, it's coming to a stop or maneuvering. If you were going 80 mph and a car cut into your lane, it's not that big of a deal to stop, swerve to the next lane, or take some evasive maneuver to get safely out of that situation. If you were going 130 and the same thing happened, then you'll see why everyone is saying to be careful. Both for you, your friends, and the other drivers on the road. And there are people out there that will intentionally swerve into your lane or at you for driving like that.

Some quick math: Going 130 mph and a car stops 150 feet (half foot ball field length) in front of you. If you swerve right, your go into the wall. If you go left you go into traffic. You must brake. Your traveling 190 feet per second, which means in less than a second you’re going to cover this distance. Can your vehicle come to a stop in less than 0.8 seconds? A 350z can’t, a Porsche can’t, and I really don’t think a race sport bike can do that either. Well it’s kind of unlikely that this situation will happen, but always a possibility. Especially if you put yourself in that situation.

Also be careful about posting stuff like that. Say for example, you posted before you dad was selling his car on auto trader in a previous post. Someone gets his information from that and informs him what you and your buddies do in c470.

Just be smart and be careful

two pretty damned ignorant moves here--one, doing it (if you actually did) then bragging about it on a public board

okay going back and reading some of my posts i feel like kinda a jerk and just wanna apologize... it was kinda stupid for me to drive that fast and talk about it on here(although i'm sure i'm not the only one here who has driven that fast before...)i'm just really pissed off and having a bad week....

last friday my friend rear-ended me in my dad's bmw(not my fault at all but my dad is still pissed) and in the last 5 days my truck has been egged and keyed

so just ignore me if i get real defensive or anything...
