I'm telling you, snow tires work great. I got a set of 18" wheels, and Dunlop M3 Snow Performance tires mounted and shipped directly to me for $1600 from Tirerack. They've been great on the snow so far, and have almost as much performance in the dry as my original Pilot Sports did.

I have the same tires and they work great! Sure, they are not intended for the Track nor have the same "bite" as high/ultra-performance summer tires, but considering that don't look like a winter tire, you won't be embarrased to leave them-on and cruise around, ~even when snow is not in the forecast~.

Big thing about performance snow tires is the rubber compound. It's formulated to remain soft at cold temps, whereas regular tires start to get hard and lose traction at cold temps. The Dunlops have some pretty aggressive tread as well, but the rubber compound is the main thing.

I'll consider it. I'm still pretty sure I'll be disappointed though. :/

Default Cripple Creek/Victor Pizza Run

Kinda short notice but headed to Cripple Creek/Victor tomorrow for some awesome East Coast style pizza. Meeting up at the Garden of the Gods Vistor Center entrance (left hand side before GotG) at 5:15p. Hope to see you there!

BTW: Last time I went, we took Cripple Creek-Florissant Rd./ County Rd. 1 into Cripple Creek. A bit more fun! Anyone up for that? I'll talk to my buddy about the road conditions.
