Default Denver Auto Show March 19-23

Anybody else planning to go to the local show?

I'm thinking either Sat. or Sun.

The incentive would be a couple of breweries to choose from.

Anybody?

Joe,

I am down for sure..........Beer and cars are 2 of my 3 favorite things, if you haven't been able to tell that already. I will get back to you when I better know my schedule. But for now.....count me in.

I met DakotaZ Sunday afternoon while taking a ride. He might join us this weekend. He has a CS Performance and we chatted for about half an hour. Perhaps another addition to our "club".

Where is everybody??????

At least check in and post an excuse.

How about meeting at Mile High St , uh, Invesco Field on south side by the horses around 11:00? Sat. or Sun.

Joe,

I am all for it as long as the weather plays out ok. I might have to call a guy I met the other night at the bar who was driving his Z. No suprise as he has a Silverstone Touring. How many more can we have? He was really excited about meeting some other Z owners, but had no idea about this board.......he does now however.
I am traveling right now and all I hear on The Weather Channel is all hell is breaking loose there with snow. Oh well, I guess I can rub it in as I am in the hot Phoenix sun this week.

Anyway, I am on for sure for the Auto Show, just not sure what car I will be in due to the un-certain weather forcast.

Count me in. Considering the weather situation, I don't know how many of us will be driving our Z's to the show (I probably won't be.) Between that and the usual parking mess downtown during convention weekends, I wonder if it might be easier to meet somewhere within the show itself (maybe in the Nissan area.)

Wherever we meet, 11:00 am works for me either day. Saturday might be better, as I've found that manufacturers often run low on their 'freebies' as the weekend progresses.

And you can never have too many Silverstones , although I'm curious to get a look at your Lemans Sunset, Brian. That's what you were getting, isn't it?

Gary

Default My Z is staying home

Got home today to find 5 feet of snow in my beater's parking space and had to bury the garage door hiding my Z. Gotta love the wind back there.

Anyway, life is good as I am half lit with the help of an 8oz glass of spirits on ice. I know that tomorrow my body will be screaming at me for the aerobics I just put it through, but hopefully I'll not be going to work in the AM.

11:00 at the Nissan booth sounds good to me as well. OK Brian, which day?

DakotaZ, Check your PM.

JimH in Az is going to be in the area sometime in April or May check David's thread on cross country trip. Make him feel welcome!!

Joe,

Providing I don't get stuck in Phoenix too long........(am supposed to fly back Thurs.)....I would like to do it on Saturday if that works for everyone else. Can they get all these cars into the Conventiuon Center with all the snow falling? Keep me posted.

Hope you all are enjoying the snow, wish I was there so I had a built in excuse to not have to go to work. Oh well, I will put on the shorts tomorrow, go to work and enjoy the 70 degree day.

Saturday would be my preference as well, especially with the allure of "freebies" mentioned by Gary.

Brian, hope you make it Thursday. I just saw on the news that there is a partial rip in one of the seams at DIA and that they're evacuating the poor souls already stranded out there to the concourses. Enjoy the sun, I'm now going back to dig out what I can in a weak attempt to stay ahead of the game.

I heard that the auto show is cancelled due to the snow? Is this true?

News to me. If they did shut down, I'm thinking that it would only be today and possibly tomorrow (Weds. & Thurs.) due to the weather.

This would be a good thing for us as the number of available freebies would increase.

Can't wait to quiz you on the ECU tweaks.

The last I heard, the opening of the show had been delayed until Thursday at 5 pm. I'll be curious if they're actually able to open tomorrow night, considering the current state of the roads. I guess we'll see.

Given the weather and the fact that crowds will likely be a lot lower than usual, I would imagine that most posters, design notes, random DVD's, etc that most manufacturers give out should last a lot longer than usual. Hopefully the weather will reduce the crowds, but won't affect manufacturer participation.

It sounds like we're leaning towards Saturday at 11 am at the Nissan display, weather permitting.

I am not sure if I'll be there by 11 a.m. I am caravanning with a bunch of people from Colo. Springs. I know we'll be there by noon, but not sure about 11.

I will be there on Saturday at anytime you all decide to meet providing a few things happen. That there still is a car show, that I make it back from Phoenix by then, and if I do make it back I can somehow unbury my car from the USA Airport Parking lot. Something tells me that the cars there might be buried for some time. Looks like I may be stuck here tomorrow night, not sure yet, but will know by this time tomorrow. As long as I get home by Friday night all will be ok.

Guys.........Just keep me posted as to if it is cancelled as I am planning on coming unless I hear from any of you otherwise.

Default If I can

Snow is deep, very deep and my tractor with snowblower was in for service [great timing]. There is 4-5 feet at my place and the county snowplows have yet to pay our community a visit. Nothing is moving here and since my office is in my house, I didn't even get a snow day [boo hoo hoo].

If I can make it, I'll be there.

So, 11:00 at the Nissan booth?

Oh4aZ, just look for three or four young white guys with an older Japanese guy in a sissy green jacket and hopefully Publisher. This site really needs a smilie with slanted eyes.

Since everyone else is wearing sissy jackets, I will be sporting my badass burgandy Members Only jacket. Sissy, it is not!!!!.......and no, you won't be able to try it on.

See ya @ 11 am Sat. May have the better half in tow as well since I haven't seen her in a week. I can't seem to shake her, when I am out of town for any length of time.
