Default Co Springs PPL: PMI HPDE/Track Prep day on 11/19/06

For the Springs people that would like to get their Z/G ready for the PMI HPDE/Track day I will be opening up my home for basic fluid & break pad changing. Sunday Nov 19th at 12pm. Also be BBQing some burgers & hotdogs. Please bring you're own fluids as I don't have any. I run Royal Purple in the motor and rear diff & RedLine MTL/MT-90 in the tranny. As far as break fluid I'm using the Motul that came with my StopTech kit. Please use whatever you choose though.

So:
What: PMI HPDE/Track Prep day
When: Cancel
Where: My Home PM for address/directions
Why: Perpare for the track!

EDIT: Cancel!!!

This is great! Between the Denver tech day next Saturday and this one the following weekend, there is unprecedented support for all Nissan owners who need help across the Front Range. Nobody should have to skip the 11/25 HPDE/track day because they couldn't get their car ready.

I might be there for that, to show off my JWT kit! I won't be there for track weekend, since I will be visiting relatives out of town Thanksgiving weekend, but I may stop by to drink a beer and have a burger on the 19th. I'll let you know.

I leave to pick it up in about an hour or so. They are tuning it today, and it *should* be ready for pickup. I hope. It's been a somewhat long story...

Just read the thread on the JWT TT kit. Sorry you won't be at the track Dave, but if you can swing by Robert's, that would be cool. I think everyone would love to check out your ride.
Robert, I'll be there. Anyhting you want me to bring. Drinks, meat, etc... Let me know.

Don't know if she can yet, it all depends on our nursing situation.
I'll bring some Mt Dew and some Dr. Pepper. Any other requests for soda?

Will says the stoptech stage 1 is doable at the tech day, so i'm planning on coming down that day.

Dave- between the Denver and Co Spgs tech days, you're getting tons of FREE and expert labor in preparation to the HPDE/track day. Good for you- that's workin' it!

Of course, if you DON'T bring your Z to PMI on Nov. 25th, than we'll have to take all these parts and pieces back OFF! Muahahahah...

LOL. Dave, I didn't know you were doing the flush at David's. You might as well just swap the lines there too, since you'll be bleeding the brake's anyway. Then if you have rotors and pads to swap, we can just do that here in the Springs on the 19th.

just the trans and gear fluids in Denver at dkmura's place

I don't want it to appear that i'm monopolizing the labors and knowledge base here (in both cities) or it to appear that i'm trying to get away with something. I honestly just have never done this stuff, and would like the help in doing it (so next time, I can just change out my pads, change the fluids, etc).

i've changed oil, but that's about it. i'm sure i could change the fluids with no problem (i watched dave and gary do it back in feb). i'm just nervous about working on the brakes myself.

Robert,
Unfortunately I cannot make it to your house that day. Our kid's nurse was killed this morning on her way to my place. She was our only nurse left on the case, so that leaves just Becckie and I to provide the 24hr care our little guy needs. That weekend, I'll be home taking care of him. You might have seen the crash on the news, it happened out on Woodmen rd before 6:00am. She was hit by a yellow Hummer H2 that crossed the road and struck her head-on. The H2 went right over her Grand-Prix and crushed her in the car. The H2 driver was drunk. She was only 4 miles from my house. It's a pretty big blow to us, my wife has worked with her for 2.5 yrs on this case.
Sorry for the big downer. Those who pray, say a quick one for her sister that survives her. All they had were each other.
Will

Oh, wow, Will. I'm very sorry to hear that. I'll keep her and her sister in my thoughts.
