Default Moving To Arizona

ill be moving to arizona within the next 2 months. cant wait for it to happen. my car is going to love it.

its going to be within 30-45 minutes of phoenix not sure exactly where yet. what i was wondering is, are there any 1/4 mile drag strips around? ill give up everything, but this i cant.

also do you guys have testing to make sure your car is carb legal? we dont have it here in detroit and i've long since taken out the cats and installed test pipes.

Firebird Raceway and Phoenix International are both great tracks in your area. I've raced the road courses at both and there have been posts of local track days to exercise your Z. Firebird also has a drag strip and Mudd has raced there.

Speedworld is another. Most of the times these tracks are open every Friday,Saturday, and Sunday. Depending on major events. And there is Smog tests so you might want to keep hold of your stock cats. Check out AZ350z.com, this is a forum for us local guys. What brings you out to Arizona?

No testing for the first 5 years of the car. After that you have to be tested. You MAY have to be tested to get registered, but I am not sure.

if you have foulers and your check engine light isnt on, chances are they arrent looking underneath. some of the guys that run test pipes hang onto their cats for testing reasons. (just in case)

Smog Testing is required in the Phoenix and Tucson Metro areas in Maricpoa and Pima Counties. It's required on all vehicles more than five years old. It's also required, as best as I can recall, on new registrations. In Tucson they use an OBD plug-in, and they do look under the vehicle. I have Crawford cats, and believe I would pass a visual. Now, with that being said. Pinal county is between Maricopa and Pima, and requires no smog check. (You can tell which vehicles are subject to smog and which are not by the year sticker on the licence plate)

Pinal county is growing like mad, and Casa Grande (In Pinal County) is about 45 minutes out of Phoenix, depending on which section of Metro Phoenix you will be working at. Four you, with no cats, Pinal (Casa Grande) might be something you may want to consider.
