Anyone plan on going? http://www.rmsolo.org/ Let repersent the Z car! I went to the World Arena Dec 10th running and only saw 1 Z.
Registration for Winter series event #3 on January 14th at Pikes Peak Community College, Centennial Campus in Colorado Springs is open. It will close Thursday, January 11th at 10AM. Please note that registration for all events will now close the Thursday before the event.
Might also do a Victor run afterwards for pizza!

Interesting. I've never done a scca event and I have been working up the nerve to go for it... this sounds cool. If I'm in town I will almost certainly do this... hopefully I get that 3.9 gear in there in time (I plan too, but never know what you run into on that stuff)... I also need to order my sways and springs before that rebate ends.
Nice Robert, now you are making me spend some money!
Sounds badass either way tho.

Keep in mind this is a Solo II event and most mods will bump you from B Stock to B Street Prepared. Quite different from track work, but certainly a challenge to both car and driver. Good luck guys!
Good to know David.
Anyone have a link that shows what qualifies as stock versus street prepared... I can't seem to find that info. I'm mostly stock, so I wonder if I would be bumped...

I'd recommend going to: msolo.org for Solo II rules and definitions. I'm no expert, but I know that the stock classes are both definitive and restictive. Aftermarket items like plenum spacers, brakes, UTEC or final drive changes automatically throw you into BSP.

Well after reveiwing this: http://www.scca.org/_FileLibrary/Fil...solo_rules.pdf It looks like every 350Z is in BSP.

Of course!
Crawford high flow cats, HKS Ti True Dual exhaust, JWT Popcharger, MotorDyne MREV modified upper and lower plenums, UR underdrive pulley, GordGee Grounding Gear, Stillen Oil Cooler, JWT Oil Pan Spacer, HKS Twin Power DLI II and the JWT Twin Turbo kit
Also, for suspension: Stillen Adjustable Sway bars with urethane bearings, GT Spec Rear Tie Brace
And the brakes are coming next, but I haven't done them yet.

heh, yeah, I fgured something like that.
Anyways, although I have never done an SCCA autocross, I have been told that the big things that make a real difference in how you actually do, rather than what class you are in, is suspension mods, specifically tires.
More powerful engines don't really do a whole lot on the short autocross tracks. Still fun, though, from what I have seen.
