I have seen that crower is making a stroker for the motor now, I am personally not that excited. The KA already has such a long stroke that I cannot imagine wanting to make it much longer. The displacement is not an issue on this motor IMHO, I wish Crower made a billet crank with stock stroke when I was looking that would have been the ideal for me. A fully counter-weighted knife edged crank would do wonders for this motor at high rpms.

The mani is indeed PeakBoost.

Looking even better!!! I know you must be getting excited to drop it in. What are you hp/tq goals? When do you think you'll be strapping down to the dyno? If I'm home, I'd like to come up and watch.

Hopefully soon, I am done putting dates on finish time, I always seem to miss them. I want an uncorrected 400whp on pump.

I am going to be using a wierd setup, I am doing an OBD I conversion. The ECU is a daughterboarded S13 ECU that has a custom ROM tune. Then I am going to leave the eManage hooked up (what I was using before) for fine tuning of fuel. All the timing maps have been rebuilt for my setup, but due to slight variances the fuel will probably need some smoothing.

This is only temporary though, I plan on going with an AEM next year. That setup will be much better, going EMS with GM 3-Bar MAP, Wideband O2 Integration, and hopefully if money is in order..........

I am reviving this zombie thread.

My 95 KA is getting built at this time, I was going to go Greedy kit but have gotten nothing but bad reports about it so far.

OP, what specific parts did you end up with? still running well.

I would be fine with less power, let's say 300-350, if that would let me have less lag for autoX.

This is my commuter car, so keep that in mind.

Thanks.

Ya the Greddy kit is not the way to go at all.

My reccomendations are to get the motor built and run a solid turbo setup. I would look at either the Arias or Weisco pistons with a good set of rods. Obviously replace all the gaskets and seals and have the head freshened.

Get a quality manifold (PeakBoost, Full-Race) and run either a GT3076R or a T3/T04E (I like the 57 Trim, .63AR)

Tuning is the biggest concern, so go AEM or with a quality ROM tune like Enthalpy RS.

I am here, I have never been so slow on a project in my life......I had a major holdup when I found rust in the engine bay and in a moment of crazyness went nuts with the angle grinder and hacked a ton of metal out. Well that is all back in now, and I have seam sealed and put some bondo down to smooth it all out. I should be getting the bay sprayed within the next week or so. Once that is done the motor is done and ready to drop in. Then it is just a matter of hooking it all up and fabricating some new I/C and exhaust piping. I will throw some more pictures up as I make more progress. I really hope to have it up very soon.

Well finished the bay up and am pretty much ready to drop the motor in, I am currently waiting on new flywheel bolts to arrive but once that is all finished the motor is going in, Sunday at the latest. I got the bay painted, I ran the chassis harness back through again and hard mounted the brake and clutch lines instead of the retarded factory plastic clips. Finished all the plumbing on the motor (what a PITA to remember where it all goes after so long) this took awhile because I am yanking all the OBDII stuff off and had to cap a ton of stuff up. But put the new injectors back on and mounted the fuel rail up too
