Talking New Exhaust!

Well I finally broke down and bought an exhaust. Researched high & low & tossed back and forth different exhaust systems/ideas. Ultimately I purchased the Stillen True Dual cat-back. Went with the ZR Single tips. Got an awesome deal on it from Stillen directly & figured a TD is the best route for when I get the JWT TT kit. Should be here Monday and hopefully installed by Tuesday. Gonna try to make it to MAC on Wednesday for dynoing and maybe some small tuning. Pic below is from Stillen's site.

EDIT: Pics on page 3, dyno sheets & video on page 4.

Congrats you parts hog! You'll be very impressed with the Stillen TD. Having tested Zs with that exhaust on it, I can say that it sounds fantastic! It also provided the biggest gains across the board in a past Sport Z article comparing five different exhausts.

Thanks! Parts hog?!?! Would you beleive me if I said the power gains weren't the influing factor in purchasing it. I like the TD feature, and the semi-stock look of the tips. Also from the sound clips I heard from other systems, the Stillen sounded the best to my ear.
Also the power gains to keep up with you at the track.

Nice! I'm hoping to install mine this weekend. I'd like to check your car out at PMI on the 9th. I'm really curious to see and hear the difference with your APS test pipes.

Congrats man. I was looking into this and Stillen was claiming somewhere around a 14 hp gain? So when is the turbo going in? You're kinda like me right now. Every part I put on I'm thinking turbo down the road.

Thanks! Stillen does say it has the largest gains. Guess it been tested and proven by Turbo & Nissan Sport magizines. On Stillen's site you can read more about that. Turbos should go in as early as April/May. All depend if I get a job over in the middle east or not. And yes, it hard to shop when you have to think of the longterm, TT kit.

See, now you got me wanting one. Your not good for my resitence to buying parts... Damn you robert. Those endlinks get here tomorrow, they were short one though, go figure. I look forward to hearing it next week to get some flavor for what it sounds like. I have the pipes as well so should be intresting comparison.

nice choice. sounds great and good gains. the only thing i can see wrong stillen exhaust is you actually gain weight over the stock unit but it's marginal. robert, anyway you can get us a before and after dyno?

You sound like Will. He tend to inform me a lot on new parts and what I should spend my money on. I'm interested in those endlinks. Can't wait to see them Saturday. Com'on by Wednesday when I head back to MAC for dynoing. Can't wait till the 9th to really open her up on the backstrech!

Yeah... I took that into consideration but I'm sure the JWT TT will make some power to make up for the weight gain. As far as dynoing before/after I'll use my most recent dyno and than after the install.
