April 7th Group Drive
Aces usmanasif... what you did was excellent!! I was putting a Google Earth map together, but getting the exact route is very difficult. I wish I was tied in with some guys who know how to manipulate GIS maps!
Getting to Deer Creek Canyon Rd from the Chili's resturant is a piece of cake. And following the road all the way to Kittridge is rather easy too... just watch out for 'Johnny Law' and his laser gun!! It's on this route that I got my last one. Anyway, from there over I70 and on to Nederland I become a little fuzzy and don't remember exactly what I did to get there... although I do know you can. I will have to research some more and any imputs from anyone in the group would be most welcomed.
I'm excited to see everyone again. For me, these little runs are quite the deal... many stories and gawkers around every corner! Should be tons of fun.
Anyone bringing a video camera?

All, keep in mind that as I said, I could not get Google to include the Deer Creek Rd Don was mentioning. So do not consider this to be the 100% exact route just yet! Don, let us know what you think. To me, the route above looks very good; will give us some highway driving as well as plenty of time in the twisties near Nederland and then all the way to Boulder.

Justin, sorry man, I would gladly bring you along but my wife wouldn't be comfortable under the strut bar! I meant to ask you this morning about the Z as I didn't know you already sold it! Last I heard, you were planning on doing so...

I think Google finally nailed it this time. The route below includes Dear Creek and avoids C470 completely. Don, does this look right to you? I hope it eliminates some "fuzziness"
Let me know and I will replace the above map with this so there is no confusion.
TOTAL DISTANCE: 76.5 Miles

Thanks! Google Earth handles maps and directions with formulas. You can enter as many waypoints as you like (separated by "To:") to make sure the route is exactly as desired. I zoomed in and saw where Deer Creek actually was, then just added the waypoints along its path to "force" Google to avoid C470. The destination string was: 8454 S Kipling Pkwy, littleton, co TO:Homewood Park, CO to:TWIN FORKS, CO to:KITTREDGE, CO to:NEDERLAND, CO to:BOULDER, CO and Google came up with above, which looks right to me.

That map looks good, I think you got it right.
This is shaping up to be a great day!!!............Anyone want to drop a few dollars on the way through Blackhawk?
Juztin.............the wife is more then likely going with me (that is if I don't divorce her first) so I don't have an empty seat like I previously thought I might.
