It is indeed a monster, that likes to be driven hard. I dont understand why alot is worried about high boost on a VQ, 11psi is barely any boost. 20+psi is when the real fun begins, but to get there the pistons and rods on the way plus whatever else needed to support 20psi will show how much more of a monster this Z could be. Up here at our elevation boost is your best friend, my plans were to do the stroker kit with high compression and bigger cams, just wanted the extra n/a power. But after driving the Z for a few days, I figured this is what all Z33s are missing is boost. I have done a few n/a bolt ons for customers and the power increase wasnt too bad, but never really got my full interest till I test drove Justins Z and glad I bought it. Just give him some time he will be back but like I told him this time 1000hp in class

Just wanted to mention that as of right now I should be able to make the cruise. Waiting to hear back from my employer on a possible flight out shortly.

Hi guys, how did the lunch thing go with the Vietnamese food event? Too bad I have to miss it. Good news, started my drive back to Denver today. Snow, rain, sun, cloud, you name it, I drove thru it. About 1/2 way now, stopping for the nite. Will be back in Denver tomorrow.

A couple things to report:
1. The Z works really well, my 1st time out with it on a long trip. Very easy driving at speed around 120 mph in the dry for long stretches. I slowed down to speed limit when wet. No problems.
2. The car and seats are very comfortable thru out the whole trip. I also added some padding for the lower back, works great.
3. The new detector 9500i works well. Very little false alarms. Ran into 3 traps so far, all K band. Amount of time for warning is good, but I don't mind more.

Now I can add my name to the list since my car will be in Denver. Hope to see you all on the weekend. Looks like it's gonna be a great turn out.

1. Usman (Castle Rock, CO)
2. Hr2burn (Lakewood, Co)
3. youngz33(westminster,co)
4. Abishop ( Brighton, CO)
5. myspivey (Denver, CO)
6. Mudd (Brighton, CO)
7. peterputter (Parker, CO)
8. Bottom (Lakewood, CO)
9. hbenet (Broomfield, CO)
10. Amarao (Co. Springs, CO)
11. GaryM05 - maybe (Golden, CO)
12. Robert_K (Fountain, CO)*If I'm in country.
13. Bamyi (Denver, CA)
14. dvdskydvrt(Thornton)
15. 350z_drifter(Peyton, CO)
16. Dave 90TT (Peyton, CO) (maybe)
17. Phu (USA)
18. Brigitte & Sean (Westminster, CO)
19. Krayzeemike (maybe)
20. 500HPZ (USA, Earth)

The even went well. Every one enjoyed the food and great car discussion.

I can't wait to put your detector to the test. I think it will do well against radar but not so well with ladar.

I'm back in one piece. No tickets. Thanks USman.
Except now the car makes roaring noise. Yup, checked the front tires, has the @#%$@ feathering now.
Need help to find a dealer to get that fix ASAP. Any sugestions where to go? I posted a thread in Mile High Z too. Thank you for your help. Hope they can have it fixed before the drive this Sat.

Bamyi,
Saw your post in MHZ, I'm chking my schd to see what date work best, let's set a date and invite others. Love to see how the different ones compare. Will post there for dates.

David097,

That sucks. The Denver guys should help you locate a dealer. I've heard Boulder Nissan is great though.

Great to know you made it, ohw! The infamous feathering issue is indeed terrible to hear about (no pun intended!). I haven't been around here long enough to know whether any local members have had the same and which dealer they went to. Robert's suggestion about Boulder Nissan is a good one as the TSB should cover your repair and BN's owner is a member here (don't recall his login).

All, the updated list (read: after correcting Phu's faux paux ) is as below:

1. Usman (Castle Rock, CO)
2. Hr2burn (Lakewood, Co)
3. youngz33(westminster,co)
4. Abishop ( Brighton, CO)
5. myspivey (Denver, CO)
6. Mudd (Brighton, CO)
7. peterputter (Parker, CO)
8. Bottom (Lakewood, CO)
9. hbenet (Broomfield, CO)
10. Amarao (Co. Springs, CO)
11. GaryM05 - maybe (Golden, CO)
12. Robert_K (Fountain, CO)*If I'm in country.
13. Bamyi (Denver, CA)
14. dvdskydvrt(Thornton)
15. 350z_drifter(Peyton, CO)
16. Dave 90TT (Peyton, CO) (maybe)
17. Brigitte & Sean (Westminster, CO)
18. Krayzeemike (maybe)
19. 500HPZ (USA, Earth)
20. OHW (Denver, CO

I had my fronts replaced with the updated tires (n/c) by peak now Littleton Nissan, huge difference but I don't like the squirrely feel of the new alignment.

I think any dealer should be able to handle this for you, but by all means don't miss this drive because of some tire noise. You better come anyway, tire noise or not.

So is Kevin going on this drive, I see his name is not on the list.

Gary, are you going for sure or is it still a maybe? You best be going as this one looks to be eclipsing our previous high mark of 14 cars. It should be great, I am real excited.
