For those that ever ever even thought about drag racing your Z, this is the event for you to do it in. I know there will be little response to this thread, but it would be cool to see some more Z's participate.

Where- Bandimere Speedway
When - June 3rd.
Time - Plan most of the day starting around 8am

This is a non points earning event. There is plenty of money to be won. It's an event that is all imports and sport compacts and all cars are street legal. Most racers that will enter will be entered in their first ever competitive race, making it good for everyone.This is why I feel this is THE EVENT of the year for anyone wanting to give this a try.
There is also a sound competition, and a car show for those interested. Also will be a bikini contest for perverts like me to see.

So come on out. Who's going? I hope to see some new faces out there. Also, if you feel like it come out tonight for another class Andrew and I race in to get an idea how everything works if you would like. Show up around 6pm or 7pm as thats when everything is getting kicked off for tonight and cheer us on.

Hmm, ill try and make it out since its a sunday and non work day, should be able to get there at open and have some fun. Bishop, can you push on those vinyl guys at all? I sent them the email but still have not heard back. Lets see if we can some some vinyl before the event!!! Im leaving today for a week and wont be back till friday. See yall in a week!

Eric and I will be there. I have to leave around 12:30 UNTIL ABOUT 3:30. That sucks because if they are on schedule I will miss the first few rounds of eliminations. Hopefully Eric will still be competing when I get back. If not I should get back just in time to help him load the Z back in the trailer. I would think Kevin would also be participating. Jason

****, i ran a 15.5 the time i won. Its not about your ET its about your RT and how consistent your car is. I always put a slower time then i fender race the guy down the track and make sure i beat him by the smallest amount.

You DO NOT have to be registered for anything. Just show up, pay the entrance fee, pass tech and you are ready to race and have some fun in the sun with your buds. I will set a place where we can all meet up and go in together so we can pit next to each other if you would like. That way Eric, Jason , Andrew, myself and others can give you any pointers to help you out. I know when I first strated going out I loved the help and advice people gave me.

For those who are wondering, you do not need a fast car to win at this or anything. All racing is handicapped so that any car can beat any car. It comes down to the driver and you skill, I can explain alot more just ask me.

On another note, just got home from the track tonight. Lost to one of Andrew's buddys in the final because I took too much stripe, my fault and an error I will learn from in the future. Had a good time. This set up is deadly consistant, and I am enjoying it alot. I have gotten my launch issues pretty much under control and I don't think I will try the drag radials for now. I am having big fun the way it is.

Now come on and get of your *** all you thread lurkers and step up. I know there will be little to no track days all summer so this is your only other option to satisfy your need for speed. Get your *** off the couch and commit.

I know I'm still getting use to the Turbo, so I keep knocking off a tenth here and a tenth there. Will this get me disqualified if I keep running a bit faster?
I'm going anyway...just wanna know.

Well see in bracket racing, consistency is key. What i like to do is get a good reaction time under .1 then say my first 2 test runs of the day were 13.5 and 13.4 I would put my dial in at 13.5 knowing my car is faster then 13.5 but not by much. Then after you get a good reaction time fender race down the track and beat your opponent by the smallest amount. So Sean, your new turbo might hurt you if you run inconsistent but if you just dial a little slower then you know you can run and slow down at the end you will be fine. I hope i helped you out and didn't confuse you. At the track i can explain it better.

 

Man I'll lay it out straight... I get tunnel vision and no matter what I plan on doing, I launch as fast as I can, power shift and get from point A to point B as fast as possible. I turn into a drag racing neanderthal, I wanna kill and eat lots of raw flesh. Hope this system works!

Sean (and anyone else) ..........when you get there to the track, explaining how this all works will become quite easy to understand. Excplaining it here in words is difficult because it makes this process sound alot more difficult then it is.

As for if we want to meet up, I would like that. Getting together in line outside the track will make it much more easy to pit together once inside the track if thats is something everyone would like to do. Not sure what everyone else thinks, but let me know and we can plan something if you would like.
