Midwest Z Fest in Omaha Labor Day weekend
Mark your calendar for Labor Day weekend when Omaha based Z Cars of Nebraska will be hosting the annual Midwest Z Fest. In the past we've had some Colorado Z's participate in this.
Of interest to many of you, this year's Z Fest includes a track day on Friday at Mid-America Motorplex (one of the fastest road courses in the U.S.) followed by drag nite at the M.A.M. drag strip. Lot's of other events also.
For more info go to www.midwestzfest.com.

There are good reasons why I posted this event here.
The Midwest Z Fest events have pulled people from many surrounding states when they were held in Kansas City, Harrison, AR., and St. Louis.
Actually, the Midwest Z Fest originated in Denver in 2003.
In looking at the message board, there is at least 1 Colorado guy planning to attend.
At the Branson Z Fest held recently in Branson,MO. we had 3 Z's drive in from Colorado it is a lot longer drive for them than 7 1/2 hours.

Who cares where it is or where he posts. I know I would be going to this if it weren't scheduled the same weekend as my bothers wedding.
Thanks for giving everyone the heads up, I would never have known about this if you had not posted it up.

Additional info just posted:
"For those of you that have never ran at MAM before I would suggest trying to be there at 7:30 AM (or at least before 8:00 AM).
I've never fully explained what all that your getting for the $130.....
For the first timers here I have set up instructors to ride with you until Noon until they feel that you are qualified on the track by yourself. So this means that you will not only get an orientation on the track= going over the flags, track rules, Apex locations of the corners, etc. you will also now be a member of MAM. The membership alone is worth $250 just by itself and then you tack on having instructors riding with you and the morning orientation is typically another $180, plus as a member you can run on "Fast Fridays" for $75 a day from Labor Day weekend on.
Average Cost
$250 Membership yearly fees
$180 Track orientation
$75 Fast Fridays after becoming a member
$505 Total .......You pay $130!!!!
To see your smiling faces PRICELESS!!
The track goes hot at 9:00 AM for you first timers but classroom instruction will be at 8:00 AM."

Reminder on booking your hotel room:
"Please book your Hotel Rooms immediately they are only being held until the end of this month!!! And finding a Hotel on Labor Day weekend could be very difficult especially next door to another Hotel that is having there opening weekend as a "WATER PARK!!"
(That could always be Plan B for something else to do Laughing )
1-888-391-3913 (Baymont Inn)you can ask for Stephanie Gonzales, but everyone there should be aware of us booking for MWZF 07' "
