Well orginally Ada & I had plan on visiting Italy for a week than come home to Colorado for a week. Well the prices on plane tickets for both us just got too expensive. So for my R&R I'm coming home to Colorado for two weeks. Considering that Ada & I didn't want to sit at home we choose to go to Vegas for 5 days, 4 nights! We're gonna be staying at The Plams Casino Resort. Is there anything we should definently go to/see??? This is our frist time visiting Vegas so we're excited yet don't know what to go to. Give me some ideas please.

Well I took a trip out to Vegas in June. I have a few tips and suggestions from my experience.
Definitely try and check out at least one of the big shows. The Cirque de Solei shows are pretty cool, there all over the place. I hear that Phantom of the Opera is pretty sweet too. We saw Zumanity, it was okay, but I wish we would have seen one of the bigger shows. I’ve also seen Blue Man group in a previous trip which was pretty entertaining.
Just a tip, at most of the Casinos there will be a booth right inside the front entrance “selling” tickets to the main shows for cheap. These booths are pretty much the Time Shares for the new Vegas Condos that are going up. The ticket costs are maybe half, but its a few hours of you time looking at a Condo with the typical sales speech. I avoided them, but if you want to save a few bucks and you don’t mind the time they take from you’re vacation, it’s probably a good deal.
The Rio has a really good buffet and it’s pretty close to the Palms. I always go to In N Out Burger and Fat Burger, just because I like cheap greasy hamburgers. I would also suggest hitting up one of the nicer restaurants at least once. I’ve always avoided them until this last trip and I really enjoyed them.
Vegas isn’t as cheap as it use to be, but there are some free things. If you’re gambling a lot definitely get the Casio’s Player’s Card to get all the free crap and to also let the casino know you’re gambling (Spending money) just in case you decide they want to comp you something cool. All the little free shows that the Casino’s have, I.E. Mirage’s Vocano, T.I.’s pirate show, Caeser’s talking statues, are cool. The best is the Watershow at Belligio. Oh bring your Ferrari keys or proof of ownership because you’ll be able to get in free at the Wynn’s Ferrari museum/dealership. They have a cool gift shop if you forget.
At the Palms, Ghost Bar and Rain are pretty cool clubs. Since you’re staying there you may get free admission. Unless you’re with a large group of girls, it sucks getting into clubs. Arrive early, pay the doorman $100, or wait in line for an hour or so. Some of the bars or lunges are pretty chill. They’re trendy, but cool.
I always try and visit all the different large Casinos, but basically they’re all the same, just different carpet. I also went to Fremont street just to see a band that was playing down there and to see the Fremont Street show. It’s okay, it’s a different crowd. All the homeless down there kind of depressed me.
The aquarium at Monte Carlo (I think), the Dolphin exhibit (I can remember the name of the casino, but it’s by the Monte Carlo), and the Wax Museum at the Venetian was cool to see. It’s a good way to break up the day from drinking, gambling, barfing, whatever.
Bring your walking shoes and drink plenty of water. It was super hot when I was there and I saw a couple people passed out from heat exhaustion. Actually what am I thinking, you’re coming from the desert, bring a jacket.
Basically plan on waiting in unusually long lines. Starting at the time you’re getting at Taxi from the airport to the time you’re going through security going home.
Anyway, it’s a fun place to visits and have a good vacation. Oh and play craps.

you know, i've been to vegas a hundred times and i've never seen a show.
i dont know, all i do is drink and gamble a lot. oh, and eat lots of good food!
I puked in Dan Marino's restraunt the last time i went. Very nice bathroom, btw.
I stayed at Hooters. Its pretty small but a really chill hotel. and really hot waitress's. not these 40-50 year old hags in very little clothing like these other hotels. They really should consider an age limit for waitress's!

What better place to spend some leave? You drink for free while trying to win some money on the casino floor. Went in 2005 and going again at end of August. I won a few hundred last time and got completely wasted while playing blackjack. Great times. Rooms: 70 a night
Buffet: 12 bucks
Watching a drunk friend think a hooker is hitting on him because she "likes" him and same guy later passing out while sitting on the toilet: priceless

You will regret booking a 5 day trip there. By staying 5 days you just paid for those tickets to Italy. Just my advice having been there many times. I usually never stay more then 2 nights.

Thanks for the good info Bottom. Will have to look more into some of the show and such. We do get in free to the clubs inside The Palms.
Andrew, I kinda wanna to stay away from the strip so I can relax when I want to.
Mudd, the ticket alone for the Italy/Colorado trip were $3700. While I really wanted to go I not ballin' in that type of cash for plane tickets. I've spent less than that for me to come home and than the complete trip to Vegas.
YoungZ33, I will be hitting up an In an Out burger!!! LOL

Order this. "double double animal style and animal style on the fries" SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOD, me and my friends basically drove there once just to eat that 24/7
but like Usman said, the blue man group is real good, if i were you i would just walk the strip and visit each casino, its pretty entertaining.
OH and a free pirate show on the outside of treasure island

^ your welcome. I just came back from my 2nd trip to Vegas, broke as ****! (playing roulette the whole time) The games that give you the best odds if played to perfect strategy is ; Video Poker, Craps, and Black Jack. If i were you I'd study up on these games to see if you can try to take some money from those casinos!
