Default Comcast Digital v. Directv (Metro Denver)

Folks,

I'm trying to decide between comcast digital cable and directv in Metro Denver. Any pros or cons anyone cares to comment on?

Thanks in advance for the input

I might agree with that. Comcast has been pretty good to me minus on demand not working at times. pricey as a mother and they spam the **** out of you trying to get you to buy their damn ****ty voip phone service as a package deal. keep in mind the weather can get real clowdy in denver sometimes and sat will go down or look like crap a lot with that sort of weather.

Comcast sucks. I close my account with them and I have returned the equipment. But because of their f***ing system, they asked me to return the equipment, which I already did, and charged me $226. Comcast FTL!

Direct TV's new HD/DVR boxes are suppsed to be horrible quality which is why I chose Dish Network over them. It is actually cheaper than Comcast also.
Feel bad for you man, nothing like that out here where he is lookin. Sorry man!

I will agree that the majority of their installers must have been trained on their job at burger king. I finally talked to a good one the other day when having some trouble with my on demand, he got it all taken care of and really seemed to know what was going on.

I have had Comcast for the last 6 months after having DirecTV for 10 years. I will say I liked the DirecTV better, however, at the price I got from Comcast to make the shift, Comcast is still worth it.
I am saving $100 a month from what I was paying before, by switching over and then getting rid of my home phone line all together. I got a 1 year deal for an extremely low price. When that is up, I will tell them they need to continue it or I will go elsewhere.

Are you currently a subscriber to anyone? If so make sure you use that to your full advantage. I found that all these companies are more desperate then a high school nerd trying to get some poon for the first time. They will bend over backwards if they find you are a subscriber to the competition and you are looking at making a switch.

Funky..............If you decide to go with Comcast let me know and I will hook you up with the number to one of there direct sales reps who have access to better deals then the phone reps. I have referred about 5 people to her since I found out about her and all of us have been set up real well.

right now i've got plain jane analog cable in an apt, but i'm moving to a house and have a clean slate. i have comcast internet which i'd like to keep, but if i don't get comcast cable, then the internet jacks up to a whopping $54 per month. so, costwise, comcast and directv are a wash.

You can't be a current subscriber, I found that out when my neighbor called.
