Default Clutch Issues - "Voluntary Service Campaign"

Reprinting this from another forum: I'm looking for recommendations for Denver area Nissan service departments that you guys trust and I am in a hurry.

Crossposted thread text:

So...I didn't receive a "recall" letter, but I've experienced the clutch/pedal slippage problem (including the burnt smell) maybe half a dozen times since the car was new.

I called the dealership today, after reading all of the "recall" info on MY350Z and the service dept said they didn't have any of the replacement parts in, yet. The service manager asked for my cell number and said he would call me back with more info ASAP.

After I called the dealership:
I am at work today and didn't have my VIN, so I asked my wife to email it to me. My VIN is ~50 numbers PAST the recall range. I called Nissan USA and they said to take the car into a certified Nissan service dept so that they could troubleshoot the clutch problem.

I have a High Performance Driving Class in a week and a half -- AND I have too much snow on the street outside my house to drive the Z for at least the next day or two.

Ouch. I hope the dealership is willing to work with me on this!

I'd recommend either Boulder Nissan or Tynan's Nissan (ask for Jay Kettering if you call Tynan's, although Ryan is good, too, if Jay is unavailable).

Both of these service departments are track-day friendly, so if you mention that you're trying to get it ready for an HPDE, it might help encourage them to move a little faster.

Good luck!
