Hi everyone, I am a new z owner in Rio Rancho and thought I'd say hi to everyone, especially in central NM. I recently got a used 2006 350z, black, because my truck was recently totaled. Anyway, I was curious if any z owners in the area have a get together, I am interested in seeing what other people have done to their z's.

To those in the area, I met up with a guy in a white Z with a carbon fiber hood and trunk Wednesday March 12th on Central, around 4:30, kinda forgot his name but it began with an A, said he knew several people in town with Zs also. If you know him, he has my number, tell him to add the area code to my number.

 

You met Austin, CF hood and hatch, young sort, right?? OOh yeah he still has the stock wheels & tires.

I just got this Z about a month ago and was wondering what kind of mods are available for these cars and just general maintenance, how to change oil, that sort of stuff. I could read about it on the net, but I'm more of a hands on kinda guy, I like to see it in person before I get it. Also curious because this is my first "sports" car, had trucks before.

 

What are interested in doing to your car in the way of mods or are you going to spend the large $$$$ on major HP??

 

I live in Rio Rancho too and have a yellow 35th AE. You may have seen it around town. I've done a few mods to the car; mainly bolt-on stuff.

 

Well I'm not sure exactly what i want to do, but I do want to go faster. But first I have to see how my funds will be after I start payin for my Z. Anyone goin to the drag strip this weekend? I am on Saturday.

Word is that Bartzens Z car wasn't running yet as of Thursday night, after the new engine install they couldn't get the clutch to engage, (from RSW). Needless to say they had tried just about anything imanginable, checked clutch fluid, bled & re-bled the clutch master cylinder, checkes the lines for leakage. Supposed to be a hot Z car, hope they got it running today.

DId you buy the yellow 35th anniversary edition from Roy??

 

I am Roy. I didn't advertise that the Z was for sale this winter and still have it.

 

I remember you saying at a track day last Spring that you wanted to sell the car. Actually you were very helpful to us new tracks nOObs.
