david,

another thing i could use some remediation on is braking points, especially at turn one, and the line through there. others may not have had problems, but if you enter that turn too fast and/or off-line, you're already screwed up at turn 2, and then turn 3 isn't getting any better.

maybe a lap or two with you might cure me.

OK- for those who may have subscribed to this thread, I've added details (including a class syllabus) on the October 27th class here:

https://my350z.com/forum/south-west/...ety-class.html

With the uncertainty surrounding the future operation of PMP, this may be the last of these low-cost classes/HPDEs for the immediate future. I'm planning to make it a good ending, if that's the case!

Just another reminder for everyone who posted they WANTED to be in this class. Deposits are now being taken (see details in the attached post above) and we need at least ten paid entries within the next two weeks!

BTW- I'm headed off to the SCCA Runoffs at Heartland Park Topeka tomorrow and won't be at home for another week, so get those deposits going!

David, I'll be sending over payment via paypal tonight. But are you sure that PMP will be open?? I keep hearing that it was just bought out and all future track dates have been cancelled. Have you heard anything from the owners of PMP, whoever they might be now?

The track is under new management, but has announced that the schedule will continue unaltered for the remainder of this season. They are showing this event on the schedule as of yesterday too. http://www.pueblomotorsportspark.com...c5508f3810a7f2

The change in the PMP track manager was expected and I confirmed that our exclusive on the day before the last manager left. What is unexpected is the lack of response from many of those who initially signed up!

Where is the commitment? I am really hoping this thing happens. I have never been on a track and I have never tracked my car so this would be a great thing for me to try.

You will have a great time out there. David's track days are always fun. You will have the opportunity to open up your car and push it as hard or as easy as you want in a safe environment. It's not racing, it's an OPEN track with an experienced race car driver helping you learn how to handle your car. No traffic, no wheel-to-wheel racing, no competition. Just a fun time learning how to brake efficiently and get used to the ABS, then learn the track layout, get some pointers on handling, and all at a comfortable pace. By the afternoon, you'll be doing lap after lap of pure driving bliss. No cops, no speed limits, no pressure... just you and your car communicating in the same language of FUN behind the wheel. Plus, you'll meet some of the best people in Colorado.

Truly, the people I've met at the track have been the best part of owning a Z. I wish I could attend. When i first bought the car I went to one of David's track events with Gary, Don and his son, and another David, all met on this forum and all wonderful guys to know. I was hooked after that, and went on to attend 10 more track events of different types, and now I envy those who get to experience the joy of driving their car around a track for the first time.

C'mon guys. So many signed up, it would be a loss for this not to happen. This offers more than just an opportunity to "open her up" in a safe environment, the skills you will learn aren't found on the street, but will be valuable on both the street and the track. I hope this works out for everyone who wants to attend.

Will

What Will Said. These events are a great way to drive your Z, learn more about your Z, and meet some great people. Send Dave your money!

Without at least ten paid deposits in the next six days, there simply won't be any class on Oct. 23rd! Not looking too promising at this point...

How many more do we need? I am waiting to see if I can get this day off work or not. I didn't realize it was a weekday until recently...
