A friend of mine died in a motorcycle accident on labor day. I will not be attending the cruise since we'll be having his funeral on Saturday.

I went camping at Ridgway (just north of Ouray) over Labor Day weekend, and you guys are going to have a blast driving down there!

We went in the truck so that we could go off-roading (Imogene Pass, Ophir Pass, Bridal Veil Falls, etc) but all of the roads that we took to get down there had me thinking what a blast that drive would be in the Z. I'm jealous that I'll be out of town for the drive weekend. I hope someone takes plenty of pics.

Well Gary...........as it seems right now............doesn't seem to be very much interest in a drive at all. I think there is only 2-3 of us who seemed to be interested right now. Hoefully that is going to change in the next few days.
I know that if we are going to do this I would like to make some hotel arrangements ASAP, so hopefully we can get this set by the end of the weekend.

All, I would love to take the weekend and go down there. Lemme know about the arrangements. Daryl, you have my email. PM or email me. We can arrange rooms online or simply call. Looking forward to it.

So are wqe gonna do this or not fellas?
I hate pressing the subject, but if we aren't going to do the trip, we should plan another route or something.

I am just wanting to know so I know how to plan my weekend.

Brian --- I have second thoughts only because of my leg problems in the Z. My legs cramp and ache even with frequent rest stops; I would not want to be the fly-in-the-ointment kinda thing.

If the guys would allow my S8 to join the mountain gang, I'm right with you.

Brian - I'm out, just too busy at work. Love the idea of an over night trip, but just can't do it right now. Maybe in October if the weather holds out.

I have decided to bail as well on our plan for Durango. It seems to be difficult to plan and I could get some stuff done around here if I stayed here.

I would still like to take a day drive somewhere on Sunday though if anyone else is interested. If we did just a day trip I would be able to go and look @ some houses with my realator, so I think that is what I will do.

Anyone up for just a day trip? Post your ideas.

What ever happened to the days of Shogun post whoring it up?

Brian -- To be honest with you, if the 350Z crowd does not get on board, it is a possibility. Where we expected to see a big spike in subs, there was none and bringing the curtain down is a REMOTE possibility. We have thousands of De....-like fence-sitters out there and it appears they are unreachable.

As I said in Straightaway, we need the support of Z owners, without it we don't exist. Those of you that are with us, love our work, those that are not (De....) COULD cause me to rethink our effort. BTW, the deadline is not the Winter 2003 issue but the serious evaluation will be in effect in 2004.

How you be Brian? BTW, ring up De.... and let him.....

Sorry guys my comp died at home. I still have all the email info but it is on a hard drive I can't access at the moment. Not to mention with some of the rain and storm winds we lost power and everything computer related for about 2 days.

A tree that had to be at least 25 feet around was destroyed by the wind and went through 2 poles.

Anyway I am up for something. I am sorry I couldn't get more info out sooner to help you guys make up your minds.

But if Durango is out (and it sounds like it) I would be up for something else.

I did make it to the drive with the Stealths, Vipers, Supras, NSXs, 3000gts. It was a hell of a good time. (though they sure don't drive like we do...and many of those cars can't).

Excellent trip but we weren't hitting too hard a road, and when we were they weren't driving their cars like they stole them.

I thought I would just post this to let you guys know about the track days @ PPIR this weekend for Z owners. Peak Nissan in association with the United States Indycar Series will be hosting the event Sept. 13th & 14th. Highlighting the event will be the USSS Indy race @ 1:00p.m. Sunday followed by more track time for the Z's.

I'm going up Sat moring and staying the night in the springs so if anyone would like to go let me know so we can arrange for the hotel room(s).

Total # people going as of 9/10

25 Indycars
18 Z' s & other Nissans

The price is $165 + $10 if you want an instructor.

~Dennis

Dennis, you have become the Sport Z "poster boy" of the 350Z lover who sits on the fence regarding a $17.95 subscription cost to the only Z magazine in the US. You can bet the farm that a lot of the fence-sitters out there will kick themselves in the butt if that opportunity to subscribe disappears.

I used you as example because I know you personally and knew you would know I was just pulling your chain. Hopefully you've not taken my jabs too personally.

BTW, pony up some jack Dennis.

I love you man.

Default Tis a wonderment!

OMG -- Dennis just ordered a two year subscription via the internet (including a back issue package) to Sport Z Magazine.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU...

The burden is finally lifted. I feel so much better.

Eh, eh, eh.
