Colorado Summer Meet #4
Wanna get one more in before we have to begin to worry about the weather?
** Date proposal change to Saturday September 13th**
Where?? Good question. Lets start up with some ideas.
How does this date sound to everyone?

To me, Saturdays always beat Sundays because of the homebound traffic.
How about south towards the Maroon Bells, Salida?
This is Colorado. Any destination is good.
Juzt noticed your sig. It's great!!

I'm up for another drive. I wonder if we could do it on a different weekend, though, as August 30th is Labor Day weekend when traffic around Colorado is usually pretty bad. Also, I've already got plans for that weekend (as I suspect some others may have, too.) Don't change the date on my account, but Labor Day weekend is one of the worst weekends to try to drive around Colorado, and a different weekend might provide a better drive (especially since we may not get many more together before the weather starts threatening.)
As for destination, I have no preference. Anywhere with twisties works for me.

I would like to propose Sept. 13th as a date.
The 6th is not only a day I have to race @ Bandimere, but also it is a Z Car Track day @ Second Creek and also is the weekend of the big regional meet for the Z Car Club of Colorado.
I am looking foward to another spirited drive and hope we can get 10+ cars together again.
Would this date be a problem for anyone else? Let me know.

My wife's high school reunion is the 13th in New Orleans, so if I end up going to that then I won't be able make a drive that day.
We've talked about the fact that as our group gets bigger it will become tougher to find a day when everyone can make it to a gathering, so I can accept missing this one. Maybe the weather will hold off long enough that we can get another drive together in early October.

Unfortunately, September has filled up fast. As Mudd pointed out, the 6th is the ZCCC meet at SCR and I've already paid my entry to that dance. Also, I'll be headed out to the SCCA National Championship at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on the 13th, so I'm afraid that day 's out for me as well.
BTW- if anyone in our little group is interested I have room on my crew list for admission to the Runoffs on 9/15-21/03. Admittedly, it's a bit of a haul to Ohio but there's 26 diffferent races and assorted parties and get- togethers. Nissan has a large tent for all their competitors and will host a nice dinner for their drivers and crews on Thursday evening (9/18), so you'd be invited to this as well.
Also, I'm not racing the Z (rats!)- I'll be driving a '95 200SX SeR to the event and racing in Showroom Stock C on Friday morning. The race will be tape-delayed on Speedvision later this fall.
In any case, I hope everyone who gets to make the next Z run has lots of fun and no tickets or shunts!

Last time I heard, Speed Channel planned to broadcast my race on (I think) November 19th at 11 AM.

I met Kerry (sp?) from Tucson yesterday. He's the proud owner of a black touring Z. Perhaps the first black car to join us, if only briefly.
He's in town for a few more weeks on business and seemed to be very receptive to joining us. I gave him this site's address and I hope he shows up here.
Kerry-- Are you out there?
6-13-20-27???? Agonizing decision. Because we still have the decision of destination. Somebody blink first.
Bob-- What's up?
That's it.

Dennis, where is your flippin' order?
dk, how are the tires working?
Buffman, we'll see if UCLA game is meaningful after Invesco.
dk, taking Palm & Geez Cube to Ohio?
Brian, everyone should attend the Z Car Club of Colorado event. Art Singer [associate publisher, graphic designer & janitor] will be there. I have friends in from Florida and probably won't be able to attend. Dennis, we'll be taking orders.
dk, how is it that your name is on half the pages of the Fall 2003 issue of Sport Z? Our best yet BTW.
dk, you're going to be on TV? Scary!
September 13th. looks good to me.

Yeah, we met at Papadeux' one afternoon. You don't remember? Even after what transpired? I'm amazed that you can't recall.
Dennis, I can't believe that you have been able to skirt this issue for so long. It's actually kinda cool in seeing the morphing of attitude(s) as time goes on. Will you wilt under pressure?
