Arizona SCO night at SIR
I get off work af 5, and I work on Sunrise and Swan. Probably take me 20-30 min to get the the blockbuster(assume the traffic is going to be bad), so let's me about 5:30. What do you think?
Sounds like a plan man. I will remind you later just so I make sure you know who to look for. I have a Redline with the 18in wheels. I will be there. So no one else is comin huh? Thats too bad..... If you need man, I can email you my phone number... but since you're from Tucson, I don't see no problems... Should be fun man, I am goin to bring my digi cam so we can make all the other guys on this website jealous
Well buddy, its Thursday evening, it hasn't rained yet. So it looks good to go, so far
Anyway, I am going to give you my email address. Its thesclanrules@yahoo.com If it does start to rain or you think you can't make it, you let me know.
Anyways, I will see you tomorrow at 530 at Blockbuster at Speedway and Campbell. I have a redline 350z with the 18 in wheels (not the track wheels though
)

ok.. looks like I can make it, but I won't be able to meet with you guys on Speedway. A buddy of mine is coming from PHX so I am gonna meet him at the ARCO on Valencia off I-10 around 6:30 or so. Which event/events are you entering your cars into? I really dont wanna park in the parking lot so I am thinking of just entering it in the car show or racing event. I'd rather park it where I can see it.
Thats what I am doing. I am racing my Z... Silverstone is also going to race I believe. Anyway, We will be there. The weather looks really nice so it should be a good event. See you there Evil.
Hey I saw your cars there, but everytime I would see them there would be no drivers, Or you guys were on the track. Were you satisfied with your times? What were you averaging? I believe it was ZSilverstone I tried to flag down when you driving towards the lineup but you took off. Sorry I didn't get to you meet you guys. Take it easy. Later - Mario
Oopss...i probably did not see you. There is always next time. It was my first time to the track, and I found out I am a bad driver. The fastest time I got was 15.8. I am not very satify with my performace, but I am more than happy with my Z. Next time I will probably deflate the tires a little. ZEvil 1, did you run your car?
Unfortunatly I didn't get to run my car. It's my first Manual I have ever owned, and I didn't feel comfortable trying to run it down the track, also I still have to break it in a bit more. Right now I have 400 miles on it. yeh first time at the track is a bit nerve racking, I am sure you will get the hang of it eventually. Reguardless your cars looked sweet going down the track. My last car was a 3rd Gen Eclipse GT. It was a sportronic and my fastest time I ever had at SIR was 16 flat but I would average about 16.5. At Firebird I was running about 15.5. SIR is not a very fast track. Elevation really does make a big difference. Well take care fellas. - Later Mario
We did have fun. It was funny to meet the man behind Zsiverstone (I won't use his name with out his permission) but here I am at Blockbuster and I greet him saying "Hey, are you Zsilverstone?" it was a pretty awkward situation
He is a cool guy and I am glad we met. We raced eachother everytime we entered the lanes at the same time. There was a cool group of SRT-4 owners there. I have a newfound respect for those cars. Consistantly under 15 secs every single time. But like me and Zsilverstone and my buddys were saying "They are still Neons"
but the are cool cars. The fastest I have run at SIR is 15.02 but for some reason last night I could not run below 15.4.... poop. I still had fun. I didn't take to many pics, but of the two I took, I will upload as soon as I am not too busy.. I am apologizing now because I know it might be a while.
