Cruise control isn't working, but after that tune it should. Volume controls do work, which is awesome though! Do you think Motiva sells the actual kit with the cable & program? That would be perfect because then I could just buy everything at once, and get tuned at the same time. I think i'll call them and ask

To be honest, I haven't really met too many other members either. Matt and Alex are really the only one's I met haha. I know RSW has some cruises and that's actually where I met them, and they're usually fun

Good luck with the clutch, are you ordering a performance one?

Hey everyone, can you take a look at my thread here and let me know what you think of my dyno?

Yeah it was expensive, my experience there wasn't the greatest..but i'm just glad to be done with it now. There were some hidden fees they threw in there at the last second which was sort of ridiculous

It feels good & drives well, but i'd like to take it out of the city to really see how it is now. 2nd gear and 3rd feel like they pull a lot harder, so in that regard it feels like a big improvement. I guess i'm just disappointed that my numbers are so low compared to others here that are naturally aspirated as well

What happen on the initial pull before the tune? I wouldn't get too involved with the numbers, some of the dynos in this area are either over or under on numbers. As long as the butt Dyno fells an improvement your good. As a future tip, before getting a tune copy all your maps (to verify adjustments or e-tunes).

I had to wait in the lobby during the initial pull, but looking at the graph someone here mentioned there was a break/spike in the torque line and they stopped the pull early. Before the tune it was 248 and 248 torque with my bolt-ons. I'm happy I have 5 (4?) maps and cruise control. That anti-theft & valet mode is pretty sweet. How would I go about copying all my maps without the cipher cable? Is that something i'd have to tell my future tuner(s) to do? Scotty told me he didn't lock any of my maps and that my ECU has the license for Osiris.

All the tunes are saved as files then loaded to the ecu, (or saved after tune) but the cipher/tuner cable is necessary to gain access to the tunes. If he didn't lock (or even if he did) them just have him copy them for you, if not get some screen shots. Just like any transaction always get as much information as you can. Its your money, your time, and your car. Also, its always good to have software of your programs (I'm a hoarder of tuning software) just to give you an idea of what is going on, plus its free.

Osiris software is $500/700 and comes with the cipher cable. I chose not to go that route because I don't want etunes. I don't know enough about tuning to do it myself, and this is certainly not a platform to learn it on in the event of destroying my DD lol. He said the maps weren't locked, so my future tuner should be able to go in, see, edit, and save the maps

I'm going to head back up there with some dyno sheets I found online. I am way below what I should be..this is ridiculous. Either my car has a serious problem, or their dynojet is very off. I know the numbers don't mean anything, but there is a reason why they're this low..and i'm determined to find out why

I should be around ~290-300...not 260

~ Side note, anyone know of any good oil/filter deals going on?

Elevation may come into play. Can you post the dyno sheets you found?

Your best bet is to go to another dyno and get a base line, plus they should include a air/fuel readings as well. The number can be low just due to improper set-up on the dyno. also think about taking it to the track and seeing what it does in the 1/4mile, or race a DE just to make sure.

I don't know who tuned your car but often times tuners will set-up dynos to read lower, just to your business. Then when your car get work done from them then they correct the dyno to show actual numbers. Not saying that this is the case but ive seen this happen before. Did they say why you needed 5 maps for your car? and how do they differ? you dont need 5 different maps for an NA motor with IHE.

I think Autozone has specials on Mobile-1 5 quarts w/mobile-1 filters for 20 something.

Thanks for the help Rome. The only other dynojet in Albuquerque is from The Dyno Edge. They seem very reputable, so i'll head up there and tell them what happened. Maybe they might be able to help get an accurate reading of the car. You mentioned the track, but could that also be done at the dragstrip?

That would be really low if they did that. I wouldn't put it passed them though. Although Scotty did seem like a good person, so i'm not sure. I actually wanted the 5 maps because I was able to install cruise control in my base model Z. I figured since I was getting tuned, I would get some maps for anti-theft, valet, etc

I'll check out Autozone

Like ABQ_VQ35DETT mentioned elevation would play a part in low numbers. Most of those Dyno charts are under 100ft above sealevel with one being just under 1000ft. Albuquerque is at about 5,300ft and has an atmospheric pressure of about 12psi, where as they're seeing 14.7-14.3psi. That's just what we get at this elevation and it hurts N/As the most, but i dont think you would be at those numbers.

You can calculate your horsepower using your 1/4 time-slip.
Estimated wet weight with driver= 3500ish
HP = Weight/(ET/5.825)³
HP = (mph/234)³ * weight

or you can google online HP calculators, there are also ET and MPH based off of weight/HP. This will give you an estimate but does not account for wheel-spin or other factors, just the physics portion.

The anti-theft and valet are some of functions that I liked about the Uprev, Have you tested them out yet? hopefully not while driving lol

I can understand low numbers, but that low?! I'm moving to Oklahoma here in a few weeks so the elevation will be ~1200. I hope that since i'm tuned for such a high elevation, it won't hurt to be driving at a much lower one. I tried out the anti-theft mode, and it's pretty sweet. Valet will be nice if I ever have to drop the car off someplace to get worked on. I heard a story on this thread that someone's car get total'd because the shop employee took it for a "spin"

I'm sorry

Hope things go well, if you're ever in Albuquerque let me know. I don't know much about Clovis, i've never been there personally. If you don't mind me asking, why are you moving to New Mexico?
