The annual stop on the Champ car circuit is coming to Denver this week and I'd like to see some of us Z folk get together for it. Even better, we can get in FREE, courtesy of a Bridgestone/Firestone promo for Friday and Saturday. Both days will feature Formula BMW and Atlantic, Champ Car and Trans-Am qualifying and/or practice. Saturday has the BMW race at 3 PM followed by Trans-Am at 4:15 PM.
Post here if you're interested and we'll try to meet up at a central location! Go to any Bridgestone/Firestone store and get your free promo pamphlet as well.

My schedule is exactly the opposite of Don's...I can do Saturday, but I'll be working all day on Friday. That Trans-Am race on Saturday (even watching from the cheap/free seats) should be interesting.
Don,
Just call in sick and tell them you caught A.D.D..
Saw A brickyard the other day and thought odds were good that it'd be you you. I was wrong. Ask me next time and I'll give you a description.
Saturday 4 me.

With all due apologizes to Peterputter, it looks like Saturday will be the day! Let's meet at a central location off of I-25: just west of the 23rd Ave exit is the Riverside Baptist church parking lot. Make it 10-10:30 am and then we'll head over as a group to park somewhere nearby. We have a few extra promo coupons for those that haven't gotten them, so get ready for some fun!
Bring some bucks for drinks, food and such. The BMW and Trans Am races should be good, but it's later in the afternoon. If anyone's interested, let's have some dinner after we get done!

Well, it looks like it'll just be four of us: Shogun, GaryM05, Peterputter and myself. While we won't be driving our Zs, this should still be a great day and I'm looking forward to it!

Well, it was a great (although HOT) day and I enjoyed the spectating. Also enjoyable was checking out Zand02max's A/V setup in his Z. Impressive. We found a good parking lot a few blocks away and walked on over to the Denver GP site near the Pepsi Center. The general admission coupons didn't get us into the main stands but we found some good viewing spots in grandstands #7, 10 and 12.
The Bridgestone exhibit featured a Ferrari F2003 show car and it was a sight to behold. Touring the race paddock was a treat and gave new meaning to what it costs to go racing. We watched the Formula BMW race, as well as Champ Car and Formula Atlantic qualifying, but my favorite was the SCCA Trans Am race. Big cars, big power and lots of action!
A good day with good company- sorry that more Z enthusiasts didn't attend!

I had a great time, the weather was absolutely gorgeous, just a little on the hot side. Gotta love those $3.75 bottles of 12oz waters.
Thanks again Dave, was a pleasure meeting all you guys.

I had a great time, especially when there wasn't any qualification going on! Let me know if any of you want your personal copy of her... you know the one I'm talking about!!

Great pics Charles, almost everyone is the same as mine. The size restrictions are making it difficult to keep viewable resolutions... do you have a trick?
Don, If you can digitize or crop the photo to avoid any lawsuits, I think you should share with all. I believe that attendance would be dramatically enhanced to any and all of our future outings.
Fast cars, fumes and terrific audio but toooo HOT.
