Colorado Mountain Drive - 8/21
Wow.. Those pictures look great (and the roads look like a lot of fun too).
I wish I would have seen this thread late last week. I also just got my 350Z Touring last week and was looking to get out and drive this last weekend...
I ended up spending all Saturday putting Zaino on instead..
But, the car is now as smooth as glass and it looks great.
I plan on joining the ZCCC soon, and I am also interested in finidng out what local 350Z enthusiasts are doing with thier cars.
I will make sure to check out the local forum more often.
I am fairly new to the area so if you have any ideas for a good (~ 2 - 4 hour) drive please let me know.
THANKS...
Chris

Gary: It sounds like you have a good drive last weekend. I had to work that day, but I would have tried to join you if I could have.
Craig: Those pictures are super sweet.
Chris: For a short drive that is pretty fun, if it's not crowded, is the Morrison to Evergreen road. Also a really twisty road is the Lookout Mountain road by Buffalo Bill's grave. Both of those are pretty close to Denver. PM me if you want more detailed directions.
Actually thinking about it now, I am wondering if there are a couple people that are interested in a short Foothill late morning drive this weekend, August 28 or 29.

I may be interested, but the forcast seems to predict rain this weekend (mainly on Saturday).
If the weather is not bad and it would be a decently short run (I have prior obligations both Sat and Sun afternoon) I would like to join in a jot though the foothills.

Don,
A good route to the area is straight up I25 to the exit for Ranchester. Take Hwy 343 to Burgess Junction then alt. 14 to Cody. from Cody take Hwy. 120 north to Hwy. 296. This is Chief Joseph. Take that to the intersection of Hwy. 212. Turn right to Red Lodge. This is Beartooth. Repeat as necessary until the pain is gone. Call me in the morning.
