Colorado 350Z Fall Mountain Drive- 9/25/04
Wow, Don...a roll bar? Cool! Now you'll have a nice convenient place to mount a video camera to capture those speed-of-light laps of yours! Are you thinking about going racing next year?
In addition to the vendors mentioned above, you might try PM-ing Dennis (screen name bluz03.) I don't recall if you've met him, but he's another local who had been looking at putting a roll bar in his Z (I'm not sure if he ever went through with it,) and he may be able to save you some research.
Good luck, I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with for that!

Don,
I have alot of people in the drag racing world who have used a guy named ***** Webb out in Aurora. He specializes in building cars, but will also do an in car roll bar and/or cage. Countless people I know will recommend him. Let me know if you'd like more info on him and I will get it from you. I have some close friends that use him for alot of stuff.

Brian: I'm totally interested... does he have a phone number?
I'm mainly interested in doing just a 4pt rollbar, that bolts in... not welded to the frame. I know... it won't be as strong as a welded one, but it will be strong enough for me... and also be totally removable should I need to take it out... say, for warranty issues or whatever.
Let me know!

I have been waiting for somebody to do that down here in denver, the schools down here, C.U. , JWU, AND DU all want to do a rally of some sorts for imports i have alot of people that would be down for it, would you be interested in setting this up with us, let me know, Ballin24hor@aol.com

Well, we've been waiting for someone to put together a drive before the end of summer and now Fall has fallen! This coming weekend should be prime time for enjoying the bright colors of the changing aspen, so I'm proposing a short, impromptu trip. Let's meet at 8 AM at the I-70 & Morrison Road bus stop (just north of the Morrison exit). From there, we'll head out and caravan to Idaho Springs and the road up towards Mount Evans. This will be a day to stop a lot and enjoy the scenery (including those beautiful Zs!). As I recall, this road is paved and takes us past Echo Lake and over Squaw Pass, back towards town. It's a beautiful part of Clear Creek County, although (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) parts of the road are only partially paved as we head back from Bergen Park into Evergreen and home.
It's a short, but fun trip and more geared towards a casual drive (vs. the track day that we're planning on 10/8). We'd stop when and where we'd like and have lunch, but I wouldn't expect this to last all day. We may get done as early as 1-2 PM, leaving lots of time for other activities.
So bring your wife, GF or significant other and leave your helmet at home! Maybe we should pack a picnic! Please post here if you're going and give any alternate suggestions, but let's get together this Saturday...
