Default Arizona meet G35/350Z, Oct 16 or 23rd?

The G35 drivers are trying to get a meet/drive organized and would like to extend an invitation to any Z owners who would like to join in. The Sedona drive last year was a good time and was enhanced by the presence of some sweet Z's (Jim, N74DV, and friends).

The date has yet to be determined. It will either be the 16th or 23rd of October. If you can only make it one of those days and would like to come, please let me know so I can get your vote in.

Exact details haven't been worked out but we are considering driving up to Payson, over to Show Low, and then back into the East Valley through Globe/Superior.

Cool, ya it was a blast. It looks like we are going to do it the 16th so we don't conflict with the DZA run for those interested in doing both, but its not final yet. Good to see on the board N74DV, I haven't seen you post much lately. Is JimH still around? Also if anybody is interested 3-4 of us are going out this Sunday Oct 3 to check out possible routes. If you want to come along meet us at the SW corner Scottsdale Rd./202 in the Dennys parking lot at 10 am.

yeah..... I've been taking a break from the whole "Z" thang for the past few months.... been focusing on my airplane project.

but now I'm gettin back into it again and starting to hit up the Z forums again.

I haven't heard from Jim in many months... I'm not even sure if he still has his Z. If he does I'm sure it's got well over 80K miles by now.

I may be up for the scouting trip on Sunday...... depends on how hard I party Sat night.

so how many people would be going? I can only fit myself and two adults plus light baggage. The plane is limited by weight. I could hold more but then I'd have to fill up with less fuel.

I might be up for it... when is the trip?

I installed the spoiler myself.... took about 30 minutes. No special tools needed other than a drill and an air grinder.

For those interested...

Update

The route we will be taking is on this map
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?ovi=1...EAPaL2SPA%3d%3d

Print it out.

We will be heading from Vivid at 11AM to Sedona. To make it fun we will take the old 89A through Jerome.

You need to take the I-17 North and exit the HWY to Prescott. Follow that till you see signs for 89 North or Sedona or Jerome.

The roads are narrow and curving. DO NOT CROSS THE DOUBLE LINE every!!!!!!!!

Once you reach Jerome go very slow and watch for police.

Follow signs to Sedona. Once we get to Sedona we will be entering from the west. We will gather at a large parking lot which is on the left in a shopping center. Not sure the name but it is before the downhill decent into town.

From there we will split off and do lunch or head home.

FINAL NOTE - This is not Gumball, this is not a race, this is a fun cruise. Respect others, respect drivers not aware of what is going on around them, and drive safely. Vivid Racing is NOT responsible for your actions and we will definitely not condone any misbehaving. I have personally see death and disaster from drives and this will not happen on this one. NEVER cross a double yellow line as Motorcycles and other cars will be done if you do. Drive in the speed limits in towns as there are a ton of COPS. Take lots of pictures and video and relax and enjoy yourselfs!

Default confused

ok... now I'm confused..... hey DaTaSPiKe, what drive were you referencing in your post?? I think you were talking about the Vivid drive right?

what I really want to know is when and where is the G35/Z drive. we're talking about 2 different drives here and my brain can only handle limited input at one time.

whats the 411 on the G/Z drive??!!
