Question Recommend a good wheel repair shop>

I managed to bent one of my wheel going over world's largest pot hole. Could someone please recommend a reputable and skillful wheel repair shop.

This is a single-piece alloy wheel. The damage appeared to be only localized to the lip area.

Thanks in advance.

Advaned Wheel Repair fixed my track wheels flawlessly and pulled some nice dents out of my bro's volk SE37's.

Thanks for the suggestion folks. I will check with them all.

Has anyone had first hand experience in getting wheels repaired? ... particularily single-piece designs that are painted and clear coated?

The one place I've checked with said it was no problem getting teh dent out, but they are concerned with the paint, which will likely be destroyed when they torch the section to soften it up before bending. A complete repaint is recommended since it will likely be impossible to match the Advan's original 'gunmetal' paint (also contain metallic flakes).

I'm wondering if there are any other repair process that doesn't require the heat.

Had an Antera 101 wheel repaired by MagMaster about 10 years ago. It didn't turn out so well(color didn't match, wheel out of balance). Maybe my bad experience was isolated... obviously they are still in business

Hey,

Let me know what you find as i have a bent rim too (Volk GT7). Its on the outer edge near the rubber, but hardly noticeable.

I when to two places today, the price ranges from $140-150. One place said it will look like new but the polish lip will get dull if I don't maintain it. They said Volks used some kind of anidide (not sure about the spelling) that makes it look shine all the time.

I am still debating if I want it fix.

Tony
